Hi..I think job satisfaction is very important in today's life as alomost every job is very stressful and if you think that your job is really good then its really good for your career and future as well.. But as you say that you are not satisfied with your salary and have so much experience i think you should certainly ask for what you deserve.

Firstly you should work to your best and give your 100% and also try to bring some benefit in a major way to your company..Then i am sure your manager will take notice of your hard work and effort and will surely give you a salary hike as you deserve..

But if still they dont do anything then its really not fair.. Then its better that you go and speak directly to your manager that you desrve more than they are giving you and hence are not satisfied with your salary..Tell them that you will certainly live upto their expectations even after salary hike and give your 100%..

Do speak politely and in a diplomatic kind of way and not like "in your face" kind of manner.. You will surely get what you want..

    Good luck.. Thanks

Following are the tips for negotiating the salary with your manager

    1. First you have to ascertain about the pay scale of the company for which you are working. You have to find the average salary of the industry. You have to research about what should be your minimum salary which you expect.

    2. You should not make any demand about what the salary has to be demanded. Donít accept the offer easly .

    3. You should always understand what is your value and how much amount you can demand. Donít become over confident while demanding the salary. You should not try to force your boss to get a favourable salary.

    4. It is your company which has to start the salary negotiation and tell them that you are ready for a mutual negotiation.

    5. You should thing a way to convince that it will beneficial to the company as well.

    6. You should always try to listen to your boss and also you should try to understand what he thinks.

    7. If you cannot satisfy your boss and you should think always about the alternative.

    8. For negotiating for salary you have to take your past experience and do accordingly.

    Hi friend

I think if you are not satisfied with your salary even after 8 years of your hard work and experience then i dont think your company deserves you and thus its better if you try to find another job where they respect your worth and efforts and pay you according to that..You should certainly get your due and should not sit quietly and do nothing against such injustice..

But if you dont want to ;eave this job due to some personal reasons then i think you go to your manager and tell him straightforword what you want and tell him that you think that you are not getting your due and are not gettind paid according to your merits and experience..Tell him you are happy with your job and work environment but certainly deserved to be paid more handsomely..Tell him to please do something about it ..

I am sure he will listen to you and will give you your due but if not leave this job at once because you certainly are made for bigger and beter things..

    Good luck..God Bless

    Dear Aspirant,

In order to negotiate your salary with the manager you are supposed to see the existing pay structure of other employee at the same level. If you are getting equal salary to other colleague, your request may not be considered. If you are getting lesser salary than your colleagues, you must give your representation in writing to the manager stating the same.

If you don't have any colleague at your level, you are supposed to compare your salary in the same profile in other company & you should keep your demand according to the pay of other company stating your devotion & salary of other company.

Hope your request will be entertained & you will get the same ad your demand.

    Thanks & good luck.

    Ashok
