How to mention short periods of job in CV?

I have 3 years of work experience and changed 5 companies in these years. Some times there was job dissatisfaction issue and some time I was getting more salary elsewhere. When I mention all these changes with a short span in my CV, it looks bad. Please guide me what can I do now as reputed companies will never hire me after seeing my previous record.

It will be good it you dont mention your short work experiences anywhere in the resume.
Just provide the experience details alone dont mention the company or the time duration in which you have worked for.
They may just fear that you may leave their organisation, so dont tell them.
You can include the current employee datails and the first employee details only in your resume.
Dont mention the Time duration unless they ask for the experience certificate.
If you feel that this change of job wont affect the next job then you may include it and explain the matter to the interviewer.

You can include the current employee datails and the first employee details only in your resume.

Hi guest, It is advisable not to mention short duration of job your worked in past, it may have negative imapact on you. Interviewer may think that you are not capable to do job and you may leave this company also. You must give a good impression of yours. Rather i would suggest you to you must add the experience which related to the current job. You may verbally explain the situation to the interviewer, they will understand and i am quite sure on the basis of your experience they will appoint you. Best of luck

    Hello Friend,

It is advisable not to mention all the short time experience in current job profile rather that that just mention the relevent exp which suits to present job profile. If they ask any questions about your past shot term breaks, try to convince them with any valid reasons.Let them think only your present skill set, don't give a chance for them to think about your past exp.If you impress them in such a way then they will definitly recurite you.

    All the best.

    Hi,

Yes of course if you have changed 5 companies in 3 tears, it will create a bad impact on the interviewer because each and every company if needs good resource then they also expect the stability from him.
But if you have changed the companies then you have to mention the entire companies name in the resume. I would like to let you know that in resume we have only briefed about our period with the company name, so as such there is no way to detail it with the description.

As you have already destroyed your career, now you need to become serious about your career, otherwise you will face a difficulty while changing the job. Might be you will get a new company but will not get a good salary.
If in case your resume will get short listed, then you have to present yourself technically sound in front of an interviewer. You have to express just like that they donít even think to loose you. At the time of interview only, if they will ask about your frequent change, you can make them understand with some genuine reason.

Because if you are average in technical aspects like other persons, then sure shot you will have always having a less chances to get recruit.

Many changes in jobs affects your stability in a company and recruiter will always find a candidate with suitable stable stability and no more fluctuations in his experience. As you have changed 5 jobs in 3 years, you can mention proper reason of leaving those companies and highlighted achievements which you have made during your period of job there and recruiter will understand the things.

    Dear Aspirant,

Don't do for what you have fear.Prepare resume in such way that it is focussed on your good hobby. It is not necessary to mention all the details of your past experience. You can mention just the name for your those experienced companies where you worked for long time .Need not mention name of all the companies. If you are asked the reason for leaving the job, avoid saying any negative points of the company.Say positive what you got there.

I hope you will have no any problem for getting you a new job.

    thanks & good luck.

Re: How to mention short periods of job in CV?

    Hi,

It is advisable not to include any short term jobs that you have done in your CV.

These jobs can not be counted as your experience as for experience a minimum 6 month working is required

These job can be taken in negative aspect that you are not capable to survive for a long period in any organization so its better to skip these kinda job written in your CV.

Instead of this use the course that you have done and also the course and future plannings in terms of study and career.

    Thanks

Re: How to mention short periods of job in CV?

    Hi,

Every company looks for a stable employee.

After investing time and money on the training of the employee, every company wants that the employee should work for agood time, so as the employee.

I would suggest you not to mention all the jobs on your resume.

You can increase the duration of first job, then you can show some small gaps due to circumstances and then show not more than two more companies.

Unstability may get your resume rejected on the first hand.

So, write your resume wisely and prepare your interview accordingly.

    Hello Friend,
may be you have worked with many companies with that period but you dont need to mention all in your CV ,rather you need to mention those where you have worked for a longer period.
where you have got any thing to learn, you have project experience there.
from which company you have got the experience certificate to prove that you have worked
and more importantly you are confident about answering all the question if they are asked about that company.
apart from that if they ask you what did you do in between then you can mention those small companies but tell them you left those companies for better career growth, then it wont be an issue and rather they will be impressed by your work experience.
    thank you.
