How many days’ time is given to chief minister to give his resignation once his crime is proved?

If a chief minister is found guilty of doing an act which is against the Indian law, an investigation is held on him. Once the investigation is done and if the chief minister’s crime or sin is proved, how many days’ time is given to chief minister to give his resignation?

Re: How many days’ time is given to chief minister to give his resignation once his crime is proved?

If a crime is proved against the chief minister there is no specific time for is resignation. He has to give resignation forthwith.
But there is no law that when a crime a registered against the chief minister , he should resign. He has to resign only when a court has found him guilty. But usually when a crime is registered against a CM immediately his party people will ask him to resign.

As per law when a criminal court has found a CM guilty of any crime which will result in the impresentment for more than 1 year then he has to resign forthwith.
