    How grievances should be communicated to the boss?

    I am one of the senior employee in a private firm. Recently our boss lost her husband in an accident. As a result she has become quite depressed. Moreover a company also suffered a loss due to recession recently. How should we express our grievances regarding the entire issue and give her consolation?

    Hello,

    What you have mentioned in your post is really sad.There are two issues here-one is that,the lady has lost her husband,while on the other hand,company has suffered loss due to recession.Both of these two aspect needs to be handled efficiently.This is not the right time to show your grievances as this is a very sensitive issue.As I have mentioned you have to balance both of the two issues and show mixed emotions.It is evident that this lady is in real trauma now at the loss of her husband.Consolation can be given,if all the employees promise to stand by her and help her in case of any requirement.From the companies point of view,convey to her clearly that company has suffered loss so it is essential for her to come back and take responsibilities as she has handled before.

    Hi..........,

    Suggestions---->
    * See its a company and all employees are its members.
    * So not only you but whole staff should express their consolation regarding this.
    * You all can make a peace moment by lighting up candles at office.
    * This could be just for 5 to 10 minutes seeking for justice of soul.
    * AT this time you can meditate and be calm quite.

    Thus its a perfect way to express sorry for the incidence.

    Thanks
