How does one should answer job changes?

I have done 4 job changes in the last year and all were of different profiles. You could say that I was experimenting a little. Seeing the current job market I was wondering how should I explain to the prospective employer about the job changes?

    Hi aspirant

I think it is good that you have been experimenting with your career but from now onwards you should make it a point to work just from a single profile and don't try to change or experiment. Show consistency in your job and career and that will help you to succeed in your career. Otherwise if you keep on changing your jobs in this way you will stand nowhere and also will not be able to show any professional growth in your career.

As for explaining this to your prospective employer, you should definitely see to it that you give him the true picture and don't make up some fake stories in front of him. Tell him the genuine reason for your changes in your job profile and tell him that you have been experimenting with your career so as to decide what is the best for your future. Don't hide anything as eventually he will come to know about it and then your repuation maybe in danger.

So friend don't be afraid of speaking the truth. Good luck for your future

Dear this is really a critical thing you have done in your life i mean to say that you have generated some problems for your career by yourself and it is not going to be good according to the job prospects and career opportunities because when you would apply for job any some companies then they would call you for interview process and what would you say to them about your previous jobs when they would ask you for - Why did you leave your previous job then you would not find a very good answer at that time because you have done the same thing - 4 times which is not a small thing in your resume so that dear as for as my views are concerned that there is not a so good answer about your job and previous work because if you had left only 1 or 2 jobs the i would have suggest you the best way but you have done the same thing again and again which made a wall of problems in your career but dear you should not worry and decide yourself that the new job for which you are gonna apply would be a stable job which you would not release then you should go to the interview and when they ask for the reason of leaving the previous jobs then you should say to them clearly that - RESPECTED SIR I HAVE BEEN WORKING IN FOUR DIFFERENT COMPANIES AND IN DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS SO THAT I HAVE ENOUGH KNOWLEDGE ABOUT TO WORK IN VARIOUS BRANCHES AND SECTORS MEANS I CAN ADJUST MYSELF EASILY IN ANY TYPE OF WORKING ENVIRONMENT so i am sure they would accept and appreciate you

    All the best

    Hi friend,

As you were saying that you were experimenting, this is not a good sign.

First you need to choose the platform on which you want to work.

First decide your platform and then enter into that field.

You might explain the employer that you were abit confused with the jobs as you were new to the field.

Tell him that many a people suggested you many fields and you were in a bit of confusion in choosing the field that would help grow my career.

Tell him that At last you have made a decision and came to a conclusion that you would grow your career in this field and would be an asset to his company.

HOpe i have helped you in getting relevant information.

    All the best

    Thanking you...

    Dear Friend,
Your frequent job changes will be a negative point. Now its upon you, how you can explain it in a positive way, Its a very big deal to satisfy your interviewer why all this past, but you can try following:
    1.Because of accommodation
2.Job location is too far from home.
3.Every time you got a job profile not belonging to your qualification and your interest of area, if it is so.
Keep in mind give same reason for all jobs otherwise it will looks like a excuse. Try third one.

    Dear..

It is not at all good to frequently change your job as it will create trouble to you and your career. See now the time has gone and you can not do anything for that but the best thing you can do is to not to mention this job changes in your resume and you can tell some good excuse that either i was ill or some thing like that so that you can not have to answer bombs which the HR is gonna throw at
    you like anything.

You can even say that i was assisting mu father in My business as my brother is out of India and now as he is back i am again in the market and hunting for a right and best suited job for me. See if you mention that you have four job changes in the last one year then this will create a image that you do not have the capability to perform in the market as well as you are not at all consistent and also confused about your career. SO dear its better to hide all those job changes and its time for a new fresh start.

    Hope it will help

    Cheers...!!!

    Hi.............,

You must firstly provide your field of job.
Like in marketing field job change is a positive sign for growth.
When you will relate your job change with position it is good.
Thus you need to provide actual information.
Any fraud of untrue statement can fetch you in trouble.

    Thanks

    Hello Friend,
Yeah certainly you cant mention all these job changes over the year to the next employer because the jobs wont do any benefit if you dont stick there for atleast a certain period of time such that you will have some experience.so better if you mention that job in which you have got some experience or worked for around a year.if you mention this frequent job changes they wont do any good than making it worse.the interviewer may think you as a vulnerable asset who will leave the company the very moment you get another lucrative job.so you wont get any job better stick to the job where you have worked for a longer period and tell your accomplishments in that project then that will help you get through.
    Thank You.

    Hello,

As you yourself know that this type of experimentation is not appreciated.Your focus should be towards a particular sector.Changing 4 jobs within a year will only reflect your whimsical mind. And it will be really difficult for you to convince the employer in this regard. You can honestly convey that you were bit confused previously which made you to switch a number of jobs. But now you are confident enough and want to stick to one option only.

    Hey!
It is good in a way that you have experimented and explored your options right at the start of your career. At the same time you need to justify to your employers why you resorted to such diverse options in your career. This will help them get an insight into your career and why you choose the diverse fields that you did. Your persuasion skills will come to test in such a situation. You need to convince your boss that you wanted to gain some experience in all the fields and that is the reason that you resorted to working in all different profiles. I am sure that if you put across your point strongly then your prospective employers will understand your point.

You should be able to justify how all the different profiles have helped you become a wholesome person. You should be able to justify with examples how each job has helped you learn different things. This way your prospective boss will realize that even though you do not have an experience of a number of years in one job but you have diversified your thinking by opting for several jobs and gaining experience in each of these fields. Your wholesome growth is what you should portray as your strength. You should bring to the knowledge of your employer that you have gained a lot from all your previous experiences.

You need to testify to your employer that you will prove to be an asset to the company with the diverse experience that you have gained over the years. I am sure that if you are able to put across your point strongly then your employer will be convinced that what you did has helped you and has added value to your personality. One very important thing during interviews is to be able to convince the employers that you have a reason for everything that you did in your career. This would make them believe that you as an employee have the capability to take the organization to its zenith.

Taking risks is also one qulaity that not everyone has. You should portray that as your strength and bring it in front of your employer. I am sure that your employer will be able to see through the situation and understand that what you did was for your development. Now that you have tried out all ventures you will stick to the one that appeals to you the most and hence will invest your time and energy in that. Confidence and persuasion are the two qualities that need to be tested. All the best for your future. I hope that you find a good job very soon.

If you change a jobs from different profiles then you can say jobs position changes due to various reasons are following as :

    >>> Less enumeration is less ,this may be reason for change a jobs .

    >>> Work load is more and working hours are also more .

    >>> Sometimes you have to apply more efforts in the field of jobs and you are enable to provide your 100% due to certain reason this may be reason .

    >>> This is a way to say Jobs are changes and you can answer it .

Re: How does one should answer job changes?

Dear friends whenever you will attend for a new interview the employer may ask about the reason of your frequent job changing, here you mentioned you changed 4 times in a year.Such rapid changing is naturally a question to the new employer. It is sure in such a situation employer must ask about the reason of frequent job changing.

You must convince the changing was taken place due to better option and job environment was always better then previous company as you know sir here I have applied due to your job condition and facilities attract's me nicely, here all things are suitable and better then previous company inrespect of bonus/leave facilities are significantly better, sir I think it will be my permanent job and I am sure I shall not change this service within 3 years of time as far as my knowledge here I shall get facilities and favourable environment to work.

    Thank you,

Re: How does one should answer job changes?

    Hello Friend,
First of all you should not show all these job changes when you go for interview.need to show the last one where you had worked for comparatively for a longer period and you have couple of years experience ,that will be beneficial for you not the frequent changes if you mention them.you may face any absurd questions if you mention them because may be the interviewer think you as a versatile candidate who will leave there company once he get any better option.so dont mention them at all.
and as you are saying you are experimenting a lot but it is not good at all ,because by the end of the day you will found 1 yr of your career is wasted so better stick to a job and get some experience.which will help you in later stage.
    Thank You
