    How does appraisal works? Whether on Performance or Experience?

    I have been working in a company from past 2 years. I am in same position. 6 months back one of candidate joined to our team. Her salary has increased and she is promoted to higher position. I have been working and getting incentives with 0 errors. But still in same position. Can anybody explain us how does appraisal works? Does it really see the performance or experience? Canít both be taken in consideration for appraisal? Please help.

    # Appraisal is granted once a year for all employees irrespective of their designation

    # Appraisal purely depends on the performance of the employee

    # Performance in Work involves

    • Completing the tasks on time
    • Coordination with team members
    • Responsibility in work
    • Friendly movement with peers
    • Team work , leadership qualities
    • Certifications, awards , achievements

    # Experience is not a matter for appraisal

    # All employees are granted the increment equally based on their performance

    # Promotion is based on your performance and ability to work

    # Your capacity , qualities , fitness for the position is considered based on your work style

    # If appraisal is not given , contact your HR and report to him

    # Be cool , patient to handle things in smooth way

    dear,
    see let me clear to you is that appraisal is totally depends on your performance...
    it counts how sincerely yiu are working and completing your work and all...
    so it does not how much experience you had...
    so according to your performance they give you appraisal...

    Hello Friend,
    Appraisal is never given on the basis of experience,its purely depends on your performance.
    had it been on the experience basis then no body would have left any job or do any work as they know as per there seniority they will get more appraisal.in that case it becomes a miserable situation for a talented but comparative fresher candidate.though he take up initiative in challenging situation,take up more work load.perform more than the expectation ,still he wont get good appraisal,so that will degrade his effort.
    now coming to the points there various points an appraise looks into before giving you good appraisal.
    like-->your skill and performance.
    contribution towards process improvement.
    appreciation from clients
    adhering to the strict time line to carry out any particular work
    punctuality towards duty
    Team involvement.
    no unplanned and uncertain leaves...etc
    so if you think you have done well W.R.T all these parameters then you can appeal for review of your appraisal.but mere experience is not enough.
