How can i retain my post under this prevailing IT recession period?

I am working in a IT company. It has been always recruiting students in a bulk manner. And now as the IT market has been under recession they have started firing employees. I am very tensed because my performance is not up to mark and my manager has many times complained about my job. Can I do something so that I can retain my post?

    Hello,

There is no clear cut rules to retain your post in IT Industry. IT industry is a very volatile industry. It depends on
overseas market for projects and tf the economy of that particular country is not doing well then then company
face problem. To retain your post you should follow the folloing principles,

    1. Finish your wok before deadline.
    2. Work hard.
    3. Don't take any short cut.
    4. Good soft skills.
    6. Co-operations with your collegues.

    Bye,

    Dear Friend

It is very sad to know about your situation.

But still you can do the right things to save your job.

IT industry is very unprdictable and you don't have the job security you find in other sectors. So i suggest you the following ways to save your job.

I suggest you have good relationship with you boss.
You ahve sadi he has complained about your work, try to prove him wrong.
Be the master, an expert at what you do.
    Finish you work before time.

I feel this should help you.

    Good luck...
