    How can I recover my salary from employee if he was on medical leave but resigned when came back?

    One of my employees got badly injured in an accident. He opted work from home for some time for which I allowed but he was not regular in that also. He took the entire medical claim and when he came back then he resigned. What would I do now to recover my salary?

    Hi friend

    Your employee definitely did the wrong thing by cheating you in this manner. He should have certainly rendered his services to you in an efficient manner when he was getting the salary regularly. Now as he has resigned without doing his job effectively, you can't do much but to punish him in one way or the other. You call him to your office and discuss this matter in detail with him. Also as he took the entire medical claim, he should be more responsible to complete all his formalities before resigning and not to resign so abruptly.

    Tell him that when he was working from home, he was not regular at all but was getting the full salary even for that. He has left a lot of work pending and he should certainly comoplete it before resigning as he has taken his full salary and the work he has done is not at par with it. Also he is bound to serve the notice period before resigning and thus he should complete all the formalities before leaving. Thus you should make him do all the necessary things and thus get the value for your money.

    Your employee should realise that when he is being paid , he should do his work accordingly and not be so irregular an irresponsible. Good luck. I hope justice isserved to you. Thanks
