    Hello,

You can do it. Write a leave application to your boss mentioning your
cousin's marriage and submit it to your boss. 7 day leave a bit longer
but if your reason is valid you can get the leave. Don't need to panic.

    Bye,

    hi friend
yes sometime we have to face these time of problems in our life in that cases you are hesitate to asked a leave to your boss. Now what you have to do is that write a written application in mention the function details in it. And then go to your boss office and handover the application to her/him. And politely say to him/her that please take some necessary step on this problem. Say to her/him that it very important to present in all function for me. I am sure your boss will be give you the permission to attend the marriage and at last please invite your boss also in cousin marriage

Now you want to get leave 7 days for your cousin's marriage.
you should not grant such a long leave. It's also difficult to give a reason of marriage for that leave.
so , you should only grant for 2 or 3 days leave.your job is more important.
It is not necessary to attend all the function in marriage.so you should only grant a 2 or 3 days leave.

you also check your company's policy about leave. From that , you get idea about your leave.
you also take care some consideration while grant a leave.
if you attend extra time instead other employee , then he will attend instead of you & you can adjust the leave.
you also take care about company's work , schedule , meetings etc while grant a leave.

    Hi aspirant

You should definitely ask for a 7-day leave for attending all the functions of your cousin's marriage as such kind of special events come only once in someone's life and you should definitely share his happiness during such an important part of her/his life. He/She will also feel very good and special when you attend all the functions without giving any a miss. You should just go and talk to your boss with confidence and not be afraid to do so.

Tell your boss that your cousin's marriage is coming up. As you share a very special bond with him/her you want to attend all the functions. For that you request him to sanction you a 7-day leave. You hope that he will understand your position and thus give you the leave you require. You promise that you will make up for your pending work when you come back. You will be very thankful to him for this gesture.

I am sure that your boss will definitely understand you. Good luck and Thanks

Re: How to ask for a 7-day leave for my cousinís marriage?

In a government organisations there are fixed rules and regulations regarding leaves in a year that comes under different categories. But

sometimes due to more work pressure it is the power of boss to give leaves or not. So it depends upon your luck about the current work load in the

office. If it is not much than the chances of getting leave would be higher.

Now if you want to get leave you will have to gather enough courage so that you can speak confidently in front of your boss as sometimes due to

nervousness it seems that you are giving false reasons to get a leave. So just don't try too much things and write a leave application mentioning

your cousins marriage as subject and ask for the required days leave.

    Dear guest,

The standard procedure for the application of leave is this:

You have to write a letter addressed to the authority which is supposed to give you leave. Now if it is your boss then straight away write him a formal letter asking him to grant you leave for the occasion of your cousins marriage. now after that the boss will due examine your leave application and grant it to you accordingly.
Don't hesitate to ask leave as it is a rule that all employees are supposed to get a fixed number of leaves per year. And you need to utilize it.

    Thank you....

Hello, I can understand your situation that you will be having a family function for which you will be needing leave for 7 days or so.If at present you have much work pressure then it will be bit difficult for you to convince your boss for a leave of 7 days at a stretch.I think you should be honest to your boss and tell him straight away that you 7 days leave as you have your cousin's marriage scheduled (mention the dates).I hope he will consider your situation and grant you leave.
