How to answer the question “How would you describe your current company?” when asked in the interview? Is this question asked to check if we are satisfied with the previous company?

I am planning to move from my old company to somewhere new. Recently I attended a interview where the interviewer asked me this “How would you describe your current company?” and I was totally blank of what to answer. Is this question is asked to check if we are satisfied with the previous company or for something else? Do I have to answer in positive or in negative way?

Yes, you are correct. that interviewer ask this question to check that whether you are satisfied with the company policy and what you think about that. I suggest you to please answer this information in a positive way, but always keeps the comparison between both the companies, try to tell the goodness of the company where you are going for interview. You can also use the working environment factor. Please do not mention the work load or any false issue with the company. Just answer simply and try to give the idea of the problems you are facing in the current company like salary issues(not being paid on time) and many other, but do not try to show your self that you are against company. And hope for the best, give interview with full confidence.

in any interview we should not degrade about the previous or current working company.

if you say negatively about your current working company it will automatically creates negative impression on us

This is the tricky question which they try to test how you answer this question.
First don’t talk anything negative about the old company.
Because they will think you will talk about their company once you leave their company.
Be neutral in answering, state some health issues or distance travelled or like some general problems when they ask why you want to leave the current company.

Hi. I think you should answer the question " How would you describe your present company?" in a positive and a more diplomatic way.

You should talk about the merits of your current company like work environment, salary, colleagues etc

Dont talk anything negative or malacious as this will show you in a bad light.

Also if you tell the reason of your leaving the company tell it in a diplomatic way citing your need so that they dont think you are bad mouthing the company.

Hoping i have solved your query. Have confidence in yourself and you will surely succeed. Best of luck. Thanks

    Dear friend,

This question is asked just to know what you feel for your previous employer, how much you are committed and dedicated with your previous organization.
So always give a positive answer for this question never show a high level of dissatisfaction from your previous employer, if you do so then it is assumed that you are not loyal and committed to your previous employer and its also against the corporate ethics. If you do want to say some negative things too then tell them in polite and positive manner and do not forget to add few points of praise your previous employer along with the critics.

    All the best.

    Dear Friend

This question is asked by the interviewer to check that are you satisfied with the previous job and why you want to leave that job.

So do not present your previous company as bad...

try to make suitable answer ..and then he asks to compare with thenew one then just add more qualities to the new one but dont degrade the previous one..

If you do so it shows your negative thinking which is undesirable..

So dont get personal just say it wisely..

    ALL THE BEST

    Hi,

Yes, this question would have asked many times by the interviewer only to judge that the person who is giving the interview is quite satisfied with the company’s benefits, policies or not and also to know that what do you have in your mind about the company.
I would like to advice you that you should always give a genuine and positive answer, but the same time only, you have to keep the qualities of the company in your mind where you are going for an interview and try to tell them.

You can tell them about the working environment factor. Don’t ever tell about the work load and any policies which will create a bad impact on them. Never tell anything by which they feel that you are totally against the company.

You just answer confidently without any hesitation and try to tell them about the problems or difficulties which you are facing in the current company like salary issues.

You should give impression that you enjoy working for your present company or enjoyed working for your previous company.
A good sample answer is given below:
I work with great and immensely talented people who are committed to doing their work. The workig environment is conducive and people are very friendly.
