House allowance reduced by 30 per cent company management

My house allowance has been reduced by 30 per cent from the salary this month. How should I put this issue before boss without making it awkward? I am staying in an independent flat accommodation. Why is it got deducted then?

    Hi aspirant

You should talk to your boss regarding this issue and don't sit quietly at all. Maybe there has been some mistake on the part of the accounts department or the HR department. and if you talk to your boss before its too late I am sure he will solve your problem. You should not think that it will be awkward talking to him or that he will reprimand you rather you should think positive and believe that he will definitely clear this matter.

Go to his office and tell him that this month you noticed something strange when you received your salary. Your house allowance has been reduced by 30 percent from your salary this month whilst you are staying in an independent flat accommodation. It should have not been deducted and thus you want him to clear this matter with your HR or accounts department.

I am sure your boss will oblige to your wishes and thus your problem will be solved . Good luck

It is quite unfortunate to know that your housing allowance has been reduced suddenly. As this has been reduced in your salary, hence the higher authority must have taken a decision on this matter. There may be various reasons for reducing the housing allowance.

-The company's policies regarding housing allowance may have been revised.
-There may have been made changes which affected your total housing allowance.
-The company may not be in a position to give the requisite housing allowance to its employees.Hence it has decided to reduce it to combat the losses.

You have the right to information and should put up this issue to your boss but you should be polite while doing so and should act professionally.

-Get an appointment from your boss.
    -Discuss this issue.
    -Explain your problem clearly.
-Get to know the reasons of such reduction.
-Enquire whether there are any chances of increment in future.
-Then do as directed by your boss.
