Growth opportunities much less than expected

I am an employee in a private firm. I have got various opportunities in some other companies also but my friends and relatives recommended me to join this particular company because of very good growth opportunities here. But since I have joined I donít see much scope of growth here. I havenít got any salary hike in the past 2 years. What should I do in such a situation?

    Hi friend

I think that growth is very important for job satisfaction and so you should certainly try to find a job where there is good growth . So now you should not get dejected as something didn't turn up to your expectations and instead try to fight against this situation and try to find a solution for it.You should not keep on thinking about your mistakes and rather spend your energy in thinking positive and thus do something worthwhile in the future. So you should listen to your heart and believe in your calibre and instincts.Dont fret on what has happened and rather hope for the best for your future.

I think the best option for you would be to leave this job and try searching for such a job where you have the best growth opportunities.Search in various newspapers and magazines. Also the radio and television may be useful in such cases. Internet is a very useful tool for job search on various sites like naukri.com, monster.com etc. I am sure if you put effort into your job search you will certainly be rewarded this time. Also make it a point to know about the growth opportunities, work environment, management behaviour of a company from various sources like brochure, ex-employees etc so that you dont have to regret later.

I hope you understand my point friend. Good luck and God Bless
