    Gratuity rule in India for private sectors?

    I want to know the Gratuity rule which is implemented in India specifically for private sectors? Can you please explain it in details? What is the eligibility for it? Can you please share the information with your experience working in Private sectors? Thank you.

    Dear Aspirant,

    In order to get your gratuity amount,you must have 5 years of continuous service.After completion of the said period,if you resign from the service,you will be entitle to get the gratuity amount.

    It is calculated for 15 days salary for each completion year of service.Suppose you resign the job after completion of 5 years,you will get two & half months salary.only the basic pay & dearness allowance paid at the time of resignation or retirement taken in account for calculation of gratuity.Suppose your basic pay is Rs.10,000 & DA is Rs.5000/& if your length of service at the time of retirement is 5 years,your gratuity amount will be Rs.15000/30=Rs.500*75=Rs.37500/
