Is it fine to work as a HR Manager having MBA in Finance and Marketing?

I have completed my M.B.A degree in finance marketing dual degree. My first job was in a private bank for operational job. I have got an opportunity to work with a reputed company as a HR Manager. Although I have not done any specialisation in it but my interview went well. Is it ok with my professional career or not?

    Dear friend,

It actually depends on your interests and skill sets, if you really find HR profile interesting to you, you can continue with that.
But it is always advisable to go in the same stream in which you have done your specialization.
Anyways you have done dual specialization in marketing as well as finance, you would be getting much more scope, although in future if you want to apply for some sort of government job that too into marketing or finance, then their your HR experience actually wont work as they demand for MBA in same stream, so try for the same stream, if you dont get any job you can go for HR profile job.

    All the best.

Need less to say an h/r with the degree finance and marketing on an average will do better than a simple mba with finance.if h/r is all in all he will be able to fix the company's marketing in a best/optimum label which will surely boost the company's performance substantially then others.

Otherwise he will be able to finance in an excellent way which will never run negatively,so in company both mba courses will help to growth.having such a degree an official can be an owner of the company within the shortest time.

    Thank you,

    Dear Aspirant,

It depends upon your interest.if you are interested, you can join & work well.In practical it is seen that having qualification in different streams hold the same level of posts in different organisations.Or we can say that candidates with different qualifications are posted to a single post which is at higher level such as manager, managing director CEO etc but the qualifications in different streams are sister concerned such MBA with marketing, finance, sales.Because there are the common sujects which have to be studied by all the students for some time especially in the first semester or year.

So if you are eligible & selected to work as manager HR,it is a good opportunity to you & you can join & work well.

    Thanks & good luck.
