    Finding salary negotiation a very difficult task

    I have recently completed my graduation and am now looking for a job. I find salary negotiation a very difficult task indeed and in my last interview completely failed at it and thus could not persuade the interviewer to give me the amount which I wanted.Thus I did not join that job. How to negotiate salary in the right manner so that I can get it according to what I want?

    Hi aspirant

    Salary negotiation is an art and you should be its master if you realy want to have your own way in the salary negotiation process and get the amount you want. You should now forget about what happened in the last interview and try to start afresh. Firstly you should be confident of yourself while you are negotiating the salary so that the interviewer is impressed by your ways. also see that you are not being overconfident because then the interviewer will surely not give you waht you want.

    Now if your interview is going very well and when the interviewer asks you regarding the salary, then you should quote an amount which you think you deserve and also according to the status of the company in the market. And in case you are not a fresher, then quote an amount slighly higher than what you were getting previously so that you can explain it to the interviewer. Don't quote something out of the world. Always remeber not to start the topic of salary on your own as it will be a bad point on you.

    So friend confidence and self belief will certainly ensure that you get what you want. Good luck for your future

    Hiii, well i can understand it is a very difficult task to negotiate for salary. But you should be very good at your ways and points you are going to present in front of them. Just be confident, dont get too greedy, negotiate on the near by amount if they are reaching the value.Dont force them too much if they dont want to do that. This may lead a bad impresion. Calm down and start fresh. Start with little adjustment as it is your first job, but you can then gain experience and negotiate on it.Thanks
