    Is a female pregnant employee eligible for regular salary along with maternity benefits too?

    Suppose if a female employee is pregnant and she takes maternity leaves. Will she be getting her salary regularly along with maternity benefits or she is eligible for only one of the above. What are the provisions regarding the maternity leaves and getting a regular pay too?

    Hi buddy

    1) You will certainly be eligible for both your maternity benefits as well as the regular salary when you are pregnant.
    2) Such provisions are given to all working females who are pregnant under the Maternity Benefits Act .
    3) According to this act, you can avail your maternity leave only if you have worked for atleast 180 days in the company.
    4) You can avail a maximum of 6 months of maternity leave.
    5) Out of these 6 months, you can avail 3 months of leave before the date of delivery and 3 months after that.
    6) You will be getting your regualar salry during this period of leave.
    7) So every pregnat female should take good care of her health and her baby.
    8) They should not worry about their leaves as the government has already taken care of them.
