    Facing pregnancy discrimination at workplace

    I feel that I am being discriminated in office because of my pregnancy. My bosses keep using sentences like ‘of course you cannot take on so much of work because you are pregnant’ or ‘this is only to give you some resting time’ etc. I have not asked for any favors and I am fully fit (according to my doctor) I feel that I am not getting due work my way because of this attitude. What should I do?

    Dear Madam!

    Please don't worry for this. Please tell your boss I am fit absolutely with physically and mentally and don't have any issues do job and when I feel that I am unable to do job continue, I will leave. Even your boss is avoid for this and you are still discriminated by bosses. Please contact with company's HR or any higher authority regarding this. Surely they will discus with your boss and take a right design whatever they want for you and for company favor.

    Hi............,

    Suggestion---->
    * Keep silent and maintain your work.
    * Its just the matter of 9 month only.
    * So let them say and excuse them any way.
    * See they are not commenting any personal issue.
    * SO I think you must take this as a rumour only.

    Thanks

    Hello Aspirant,

    It may be due to personal nature of your boss.Your boss may be very kind to think for your difficulties due to present position.You need not mind,instead you reply in good manner that you can perform your duty well now & if time permits you will apply for maternity leave for a period of 3 months.This leave is taken 6 weeks prior to your expected date of delivery & remaining after its.

    You will be paid full salary for the above said leave after your joining to your duty.

    Hope your boss will realise your position well.

    Thanks & good luck.

    Ashok

    =======================================

    Hi,

    See,this is the human nature.
    Everyone has some amount of sympathy for pregnant women.
    At a time when you must be taking proper rest,you are coming to the office and working without taking any rest.
    So it is bound to happen that the management will try to put less pressure on you because this will be beneficial for your health.
    This show that they are so much concerned about you.
    This also shows that you are an important part of the organization.

    I think you should take this in a positive way.

    But if you really want to work more,then you can talk to your Boss regarding this.
    Tell him that you are perfectly healthy and fit for doing work.

    Bye!
