Is English compulsory to work in outlets like Mcdonald's & CCD’s in India?

There are many personnel in my office who work at low salary. I suggested them to work in CCD & Mc Donald’s where the salary structure for lower employees is quite ok but there is a norm of mandatory English. Is this a compulsion?

Hii friend.. as per as I consult I think normally the customer can be ordered in their mother language or in hindi and you can be easily communicate with her/him but at the time of interview may be they asked some question in English and say to you that answered all the question in English . jut for checking you that if some time may the person from for abroad or other state or get their order in English then are you able to take the order in English or not.. so don’t be hesitate and be yourself.. and please prepare a little bit of English that you can be communicate with the respected owner..
Thanking you hope you like my suggestion….

    Dear,
You are right that the salary is quite good in such places and dear English is a compulsion in such places.
At least you should know some words of English which are frequently used there like the names of the dishes, words like sorry , thank you etc.
Thus it makes a compulsion to know English so as to maintain the standard of these places.
Moreover your speaking should also be polite in nature, does not sound rude.

    Hope it will satisfy you.

Yes, English is compulsory to work at such places that is also one of the reason due to which they are given a better salary.

Also it depends on the position you are working in like if you are not on the counter positions than the English thing is not needed much but still some knowledge

of English can help you in getting job.

As mostly on counters there are times when people speak to you in English thus the company requires that you understand and respond accordingly.

If they don't know english than also there is no problem in giving a try as some times if there is any urgent requirement than they possibly might get the

    opportunity to work.
