    Employees getting into physical violence on playing just a prank

    I am working in a small private company. Recently there was an annual party held in which one of the employees played a small prank on another. Now that employee is getting into physical violence with him in the office premises. What should we do as employees of the company?

    you should stop him and don't try to escalate the matter any more, some people will have short temperateness you should always know people with this attitude will not change you should avoid angry people.. both the employees were wrong in their approach its very bad if you single out one person and laugh at him its not the way you behave people will take every one granted some people but when it comes to situation some will behave in very aggressive behavior and they cannot control it some take light and be calm but its not the issue for all of them every one has some behavior which comes from birth so the problem comes you initiated the brawl you should all warn him and his loose tongue is cause of the physical violence.. you should also warn the other employee if he does it again with is physical violence manager should throw both of them out of the company its the way you all behave in company.. better you should report the matter to manager of the company....

    Dear Aspirant,

    It all depends upon the nature of the individuals.The employee who indulged in physical violence on the other employee due to playing only a prank does not seem good.The maximum what he should have done,he should also have played another prank with the same employee.The action showed that the second employee who indulged in violence has no patience at all.It seems he is very serious man & has never played any prank with others .

    The employee who played the prank should also judge the people & then only he should play pranks.The pranks can not be played with all.

    Now call both of them & try to compromise the matters in between them & ask them to be normal.I don't know what type of prank he played with him.So it would be better to end the matter here itself.

    Look,physical violence is not acceptable anywhere-neither in a party,nor within the office premises.If anybody gets involved in physical violence,simply he has to to be stopped.This man seems to have some deep seeded anger and frustration within himself because of the prank played on himit has somewhere hit his ego,but he cannot abuse any one physically.He can flash out his dislike or anger verbally or by any other means like informing about the incident to the higher authority,but he cannot take law in his own hands.Physical violence may take a different form and turn worse.So physical violence has to be forbidden within the office.It is better to sort the problem by apologising on a personal level,as soon as possible.

    Hi,

    This is unprofessional behavior of the other employee.
    Some people do not like pranks and jokes, he must be one of them.
    You and other colleagues should explain him that this is not the way to behave for some pranks.
    He should behave in a practical matter.

    Both the employees must be made to talk about the matter face to face.
    The employee who played prank must apologize to the other person as he felt bad for it.

    They should again be friends with each other.

    And make a deal that such physical pranks will not be played again.
    This will help o calm he hurt employee.
    The situation will absolutely become good.

    First of all there is no place for physical violence in professional world, the employee must be sorry for it. Another thing is that the employee who played the prank must also be careful that if somebody doesn't like such things than he must respect it. The best thing you as an employee can do is that you with your some respected senior colleagues should discuss this matter with both of them in front of each other and try to sort out the problem. Make both of the employees understand that whatever they had done is not correct and tell them to be sorry to each other. Tell them they are not kids and are working as professionals, they shouldn't do such things and try to make things normal between them. Also tell them that if these things would come in front of your boss than he will not like it and thus could take strict actions, so it would be better to finish the matter at this point.

    Every person has different nature may be the person who has been pranked is a short temper person and he cannot handle those kind of things so he became so much aggressive that he just involved in the physical violence , here its just a mistake of that person who had played the prank with that employee so he must apologise for that to end the war, if he is not going to do that then you must do something that they can talk with each other and solve the issue, for they should know that whatever happened was just due to a prank before that they were just freind then why they become enemy of each other now.
    Just compromise for that matter and dump it there only because its not good for both of them as this will create chaos in the office and also they will not work properly as they are a team member.
    For that they both need to understand that motive of the prank was not to hurt him and if he did violence then it was also not intentionally because it happens when mind is not able to handle those kind of situation.
    So one should judge the person before making any kind of prank.

    First of all you should call that first employee who have prank over another one because he is the reason of fight and he must be punished by you because if he had not done it then you would have never seen physical violence in your office premises that is why first you should call that one and scold as much as possible because if you will treat easily then this may effect image of your company that will not be good for you and so think about it and warn him to not do it again otherwise he may get loss in his job and you will deduct his salary or may fire him at any time so he will understand and will not prank on anyone while being in parties or in office

    Secondly you should call second employee who is disturbed on the behavior of first employee and make him understand that you have scolded him very badly and I promise you that this will never happen again with you in the company and if anyone do this then you may come to me and I will punish him on that problem and try to take him in peace and request to leave fighting like this and concentrate on the performance and work so you could get better in future and this is the responsibility of manager that they take right action against this type of actions in the company because this is unofficial and can not be accepted by any authority
