Employee not ready to serve the notice period

I am working as a manager of a small private firm. Recently we have to terminate one of our employees due an incident in which he stole the money from a fellow employee. But as he is in midst of an important project we want him to serve the notice period by the end of which the project will be over. But he is not ready to serve the notice period. What to do in such a case?

Re: Employee not ready to serve the notice period

If you have terminated that employee successfully then can't make employee to serve the notice period. Generally the notice period is served by the employee if the employee is resigning voluntarily. So now you can't bound this employee to work there. The only thing you can do is either appoint any new experienced employee or the senior employee of your company who is connected with this project and good at work. If that project is too important for the company, then you can re-appoint that employee for the temporary period untill the completion of project.

Termination means leaving the Job immediately
Termination is done if any Employee is found not performing well or even incident like stealing etc

If an employee is terminated you cannot ask him to serve the Notice period
The employee is right in this case not to serve the notice period.
You have to look at other alternatives to get the work done and complete the project
