    Employee emotionally blackmailing me to stop his termination

    I am the manager of a software company. Recently we have decided to terminate one of the employees for his bad performance. But now he is emotionally blackmailing me to stop his termination citing his poor financial condition as the reason. What to do in such a case?

    hello friend,
    I think you should give him a deadline that your target should be completed in that time. No matter he has to work whole night. If he is capable of doing all his work then you should not terminate him.
    If he is not able to complete his work then you can terminate him, by giving the same reason that he has not completed his task in time limit.
    So at this point he wont emotionally blackmail you because he himself will be responsible for his termination.
