Hello! My daughter is having the community certificate as BC. Now only I came to know that our caste is coming under the OBC category. I am about to apply for the OBC certificate. which one should I apply? either the OBC Creamy ot OBC Non Creamy? My husband is working in a State Government Undertaking corporation.
Which one will be considered in the Anna University Counselling?

You would only be getting the OBC Non Creamy Layer certificate if the total annual income of both you and your husband is less than rs 4.5 Lakhs per annum
If it is more than Rs 4.5 lakhs per annum, than you would be getting the OBC Creamy layer certificate
So based on your husband and your income you can apply for the OBC certificate
For reservations OBC-NCL certicate is required
according to the reservation policy decided by central government of india,reservation is given to
1. OBC(NCL) 27%
2.SC 15%
3.ST 7.5%
in OBC community there are further division on the basis of annual family income.
division is:
1. creamy layer
2. non creamy layer
if the annual family income is less than 4.5 lacs then the category comes under non creamy layer otherwise it comes under creamy layer.
note that there is no any reservation policy for creamy layer.
so,according to your annual family income you can get one of the certificate and also you have to submit the genuine one to the university.
so,first calculate your annual family income then apply for the category certificate.
