Drunken boss slapped one of the employees

I am working in a government organisation. Just few days back , a very strange incident happened at our workplace. The boss came to the office drunk and slapped one of the employees who argued with him on some issue. I don’t think this is right and want to raise my voice against it. What procedure should I follow?

    Hello,

You should write to the higer authories regarding the incident. If there is any
disciplinary committee you should also write to them. This incident should have
never happend at any goverment office. If your friends agree you can also lodge
an FIR at near by police station against your boss.

    Bye,

    Hello friend
It’s a very critical situation not talk to your employee who face this type of accident and said to her/him that file a complaint application against our boss and write all the incident happen with you we all are with you and we all are the witness of the incident which happens with you and they send this complaint application to your higher authority. I am definitely sure they would take a necessary step on this problem….
    Thanking you………….

    hello,
yes its not the way that should be followed by your boss and your boss should be given a good punishment regarding it.he should know how to behave with the employees and he should know how it feels when anyone slaps in front of every one.
as you said he is your boss, first ask him to say sorry for the incident which took place in front of everyone,so that he may not repeat it again.
next thing if he agrees then it is ok or else you may directly contact your higher officials regarding the situation and explain him everything what happened and say him that they also asked the boss to say sorry but he dint listen.
if your higher official takes a positive response then it is ok or else you may go for a small strike so that they will come to know what is the meaning of self respect.
    thank you..............

    Hey Friend,
The incident that took place is something very critical.

The boss even do not have the right to come drunken at the work place and to hit someone is very very unprofessional behavior.

You should ask the employee to submit a written complain to the higher authority about the entire incident against your boss.

In fact all the employee should submit a joint complain about the disgraceful behavior of your boss to the authority and ask them to take necessary steps against these sort of behavior.

This is an absolute unpleasant situation.Coming to office in a drunken state is absolutely illegal. It is simply against all norms as well as formal decorums, specially if the boss is found doing this sort of activity,is absolutely unacceptable. Before you do anything, you see how many of your colleagues are ready to supporr you.If you find some people on your side, dont hesitate in going to the police station to lodge an FIR.Also make it a point to inform the concerned dept. authorities in a formal manner. They will take decision regarding what should be done next.

    Hi,

I totally agree with you that your boss was absolutely wrong in slapping the employee after being drunk. First of all none of the employee is allowed to come drunk to the office. Moreover, none of the employee has the right to get physical with any employee. So, please talk to your colleagues and collectively walk up to the HR with this grave issue and request the HR to take an appropriate action against your boss. Also, keep your boss's boss in the loop.

    Thanks,
    Ritz
