    Re: Dressing during the interview

When you are going for an interview, main thing you need to remember is your dressing. Most of the interviewers see your dressing and that will be considered. The first impression that you could create to the interviewer is by having dressed properly because first impression is always the best impression.
For guys, Formals are preferred. Don't wear any glittery shirts in order to get noticed. Wear a light colour shirt preferably with a dark trouser. If possible try to wear a tie which suits the shirt.
Your Belt colour must match with that of your shoe. And wear your tie in such a way that it doesnít cross your belt in the vertical direction. Try to groom your hair properly so that you look like a professional.
For girls, You can wear either Churidars or formals as per your comfort. Light coloured clothes are generally preferable. Do not wear any shining dress which you usually wear for parties. Have very less jewellery. It would be better if the colour of your bag matches with the colour of your footwear.
Donít use lot of perfumes or sprays while going for interview as you will be distracting the interviewers by that.

The dress should not be shining. Pant preferably dark blue or black. The shirt should be plane and light in colour as compared to the pant. It won't be bas if you prefer navy blue colour for the shirt. The tie should have stripes on top of it. Tie should be dark as compared to the shirt. The shoe should be formal. Prefer black shoes for black pant. The colour of shoe and belt should be same. The socks should be visible when you sit on the chair (that means the size of pant should be suitable.) The gestures and postures should be maintained properly. The tie should be up to the level of the belt (neither ore nor less).

    Re: Dressing during the interview

Dressing for an interview is one of the key criteria for preparing yourself for an interview. Since personality and physical appearance is the first noticeable factor when you enter the interview room.

#Dress professionally in order to be taken seriously. Your appearance must neither be careless nor overdone. Formal wears including full sleeve shirts(not folded, well ironed),polished shoes. Year a tie in accordance with the organisation concerned.
#You are safest in subdued colours, styles and patterns of clothing. Don't let your clothes distract attention.
#Wear clothes that you are comfortable in. Never try a new item of clothing. Go for something worn earlier.
#Don't wear gaudy jewellery or heavy perfume or cologne.
#Carry one bag or briefcase particularly for your CV or Resume And important papers.

Most importantly better focus less on clothing during and interview that may create nervousness and focus greatly on your confidence.

Kaiser: This makes me even more determined to get a job here and then make a intra-company move. Considering the fact that how unprofessional we desi's are when it comes to interviewing people, it scares the hell out of me to interview in Des.

I fail to see the point in this one and don't want to jump to wrong inferences not knowing what you implied.

Age shouldn't matter. I know much smarter people younger to me. I know much senior people worse than me. There's a good likelihood your interviewers are much younger because of the rapid growth in the industry here, lot of young people are at the helm of things.

Grilling royally could mean test of depth of your knowledge. Nothing to be scared about IMO. If it is outside the scope of your job role, just point it out. If the interviewer doesn't stop the line of questioning, just step out or keep stonewalling and raise the concern. It is better you run into these people initially so you know where to join and where not to. You don't wanna be discovering a hell after joining.

Dress is a very serious issue which effects too much on the personality of a person, I am giving you the best suggestion in the matter of dress here- Wear light color of shirt, dark color of trouser, the belt must have of the same color of the trouser, the tie must have suite the color of your shirt and should not have to cross the belt. Just keep confidence in your mind and be mannerable. I am very sure that you will chase your aim.

    Re: Dressing during the interview

    Hi,

Whenever you go for an interview just keep in your mind that you should be confident and dressed well. If you will be dressed well, you automatically get the confidence in you. Good dressing is a very good way to create a good impact on an interviewer because that is the only thing by which you can create a best impression on an interviewer.
Guys can wear formal dress like pant-shirt with tie. Shirt should be of light color with dark colored pant and should be inside the pant only. Guy should be well combed and advised don't wear jeans and t shirt as its a casual dress.
Girls can wear either churidaar or formal pant shirt in which one's feel comfortable and smart. Girls are also advised not to wear very bright colors. Also don't wear so much jewelery that looks so odd, because you are going to give an interview not in the party.

    Hi,

Your attire dduring an interview gives the first impression.

We are always told to wear formal dress while attending an interview.

The dress code should be -

A light coloured shirt and a dark coloured trousers.

If you want wear a dark coloured coat over it.

The colour of your shoes and belt should be same.

    Shoes should be polished.

    Re: Dressing during the interview

Hi..I dont think there is any specific dress code for going to an interview but you should try and look as formal and as neat and tidy as possible so that your first impression on your interviwer is good and thus you make a good start..Try to wear anything formal which suits your personality and in which you look good and feel comfortable..Mind it that you should never overdress for such occasions and also not wear anything which makes you look awkward..

For colour choice , firstly choose a colour which suits you..Black and white are definitely the best colours for both men and women but you can also go for blue or red..But dont go for bright or too showy party colours like orange, yellow etc..
Wear a good matching tie if you are a man along with your formal pants and shirt preferably..For ladies any nice suit or salwar kameez will be good or ofcourse now-a-days many ladies also prefer to wear pants and shirt which is equally appealing..

Do your hair well and also see that your shoes are properly polished..Look confident and be confident and thats the mantra for your success..

    Good luck for your future..Thanks

    Re: Dressing during the interview

    Hey..
You should be dressed formally while you are going for an interview. Dressing sense plays a vital role in an interview and it also adds to your personality. When an interviewer sees you for the first time, it is your neat and tidy dressing that gives your first impression.
Formal dress code includes white shirt and black trousers. You can also wear a pastel coloured tie that matches with your attire. Make sure that the material used is not lustrous. Black formal shoes also form a very important part of the dress code. Make sure that your clothes are well ironed and compliment your body language. You should feel comfortable in them most importantly.
For girls, the attire includes a white formal shirt with black trousers. A formal skirt (either black or grey) can also be worn with a white shirt. Girls should avoid any make up or any big earrings at the time of interview. They are a distraction for the interviewer and do not reflect profesionalism. Also avoid using any loud perfumes. Wear clothes only which you are comfortable wearing.

    All the best. Thank you.
