Does taking higher education in between of a working career affects negatively?

I have seen many examples in which one has a good year of experience working in professional environment and they take a gap of 2-3 years for opting a higher education. Please suggest how not this gap effect the professional career and the prior experience?

Dear Friend, I feel that it depends on the person's attributes, skills and abilities that will positively or negatively affect his/her professional career. there is nothing wrong in someone taking a gap of 2-3 years and opting for higher education. but certain things has to be kept in mind before taking this step. first if you are happy with the present job and if you think that you can improve in the same and you have a good career growth then I suggest that you don't leave the job and go for higher education. but if you feel that you are in a wrong job a wrong place, I think that you can consider going for higher education; as it can improve your skills and knowledge and it can in turn help you to get a better job. sometimes if someone have a financial problem and if he/she wants to continue studies, then the person might work for 1-2 years make enough money and then go for higher educations. this would give an additional advantage and can land you in a much better job. these days, many companies encourage their employees to go for further education; on certain conditions. this will enrich the skills of the manpower and it will affect the production as efficiency positively with this enriched man force. it is a good decision if you have thought of opting for higher education. but as I said earlier first consider the pros and cons of leaving a job and going for higher studies. act only if you feel that you can enrich your professional career.... good luck...

    Dear..

See first of all remember that at one point of time it is obvious that your experience can not be enough for your promotions and if you want to go to higher levels then you must have that much education qualification required to attain that higher posts and that is why some people gets promoted to manager soon where as others face stopped or very decreased rate of career growth as well as promotions so if you want to achieve new heights in your career then you should get these education qualification also.

This is not gonna effect your career in negative way and the only way it will effect will be the positive way and you can use your qualification to achieve new heights in your career, Also it frames a progressive image of yours in front of everyone. One more thing that i want to tell you is that many companies are giving breaks to the employees as well as they arrange scholarship etc and want them to learn because in this way they get more trusted, educated and well mannered people with less investment so dear if you are planning for higher education go for it.

    Hope it will help

    Cheers...!!!

Dear if you are a professional person and working somewhere then first of all you should think about your career in that company and if you can see your brighter future in that company then you should only care about your job and try to perform well and better than any other one who works in that company because if you will concentrate only on your responsibilities and on your work which is given to you, then you will see a good effect in your work because when we care about only one thing then that thing becomes best so that you have to care about your job and professional future

If you have completed your degree and finding any good job and trying to make your career just after your degree then you may get the job but for that you need to leave at least 2 years for your professional career and you will have to leave your study because if you will keep your study continue during your job then it would affect both of your career and your professional job which is not good for you and you will fall in that situation so that you should give at least 2 years of gap for another higher degree and keep yourself busy in job

If you want the job after completing your all study which are compulsory as UG and PG then nothing is better then this option because if you will complete your study then you will not thing about it and will get a good job after PG and you will concentrate only on your work which you will get in any company/industry/sector that is why you have to choose the way according to your interest but if you take a gap then it may affect your educational life because you will run behind money after getting job which is not good so that be cool and decide the best for you

    All the best

    Dear Aspirant,

Your question is very useful.See getting ambitions of the people are a continuous process. When the students are in college education, almost all of them become cautious for their career.Majority of them like to join the job which they get first. After joining & working there for some period, they realize the shortcomings of the present job & think way to get still higher profile job.In this connection, the concerned employees go for higher study either with loss of pay or with pay. This way they are benefitted in securing a job & trying to get still higher profile job by getting higher education.

If the employees go for higher study with the permission of the employer,he will move without loss of pay & his/her services will be continued & his seniority for promotion will not be affected. He may have another benefit of getting another good job on the basis of higher education.

If the employees go for higher study after submitting his resignation from the present job, they bear more risk of getting job, because he will only have to get another fresh job after completion of higher education.

    Thanks & good luck.

    Ashok..

There are no negative impact on your professional carries in this matter. After completing your graduation in particular field, if you are getting good job with handsome salary, you can continue and join that organization. After 1-1.5 years of working, if you wish you can go for higher education but only after given proper resignation from your current organization. So, you will have both experience as well as higher education, both will help you in future growth.

    Hello,

You will find a number of examples where people get into a job, continue with it for some time, but meanwhile they take a gap of 2 yrs for further qualification and again continues with it.This is because,in most of the cases you will find that such candidates mostly persue MBA,which help them in getting promotion,or they do so becaude their job asks for that degree. While persuing degree they are not completely detached from their company, they go for visits and participate in some work there. So you can say that they are in constant touch with their work. For those who leave their job for persuing higher degree may or may not face some problem.SOme students are confident enough that if they leave their present job for persuing higher degree,it wont matter them much.Because after completion of higher degree, they manage to get good jobs, rather better jobs. While on the other hand, some fail in it.Even after attaining higher degree some fail to get better job opportunities.

    Hello,

Yes, it varies from company to company. A loss between one or two years is vital from the
companies point of vicew. So, it is better not to pursue full time higer education course while
working. There is always a second option i.e. Executive education for working professionals. In
this way you will nor loose your pay package and will also complete your higer education from
good institutes. Many people are opting for executive education and you should also opt it.

    Take Care,

    Hi,

It may affect in either way.
If you qualify well and with outstanding performance in your education then it will give positive effect.
but if you do not do well there , then it may negatively affect your career.

It depends on company, if it promises to grant a leave of 2 to 3 years and then hire you again. It will affect your career positively only.It will open new oppotunities for you to get promotions. You may then achieve higher goals in your life.

You may also pursue distance education, where you can get higher education as well as you can do the job.
If Both the things are manageable to you then it is the good choice to make.

    All the best
