Do we really need to serve the notice period before leaving the job?

I have noticed lot of time, in various company they tell us to serve for 30 days or 45 days before leaving the job and in some companies they tell us to quit it from next day. They donít need us to serve any notice period or deduct our salary. Why is that so important to server our notice period? If we quit the job without notice period either they will deduct our salary or donít provide experience letter?

    Hi friend,

suppose you are contract employee. you contract is over then you don't need to wait there. They will accept your resignation immediately.

If you are permanant employee into that there is a some rules regulations applicable.
1)you have to inform your resignation to your HR.
2)you have to give the KT to the new person in the notice period
3)you have to tell the proper reason why you are going to resign the job.

    All the best.

This is very much necessary to serve the notice before leaving the company. Usually you need to serve the notice one month-two months before leaving the company. However the number of days may differs from company to company. The main reason because of which this rule is formulated is that if you vacant the post immediately, company needs to find new candidates and it always take a time to appoint them, in between these days many works becomes pending. If you don't serve the notice period, the salary may be deducted, experience letter will not be given, moreever legal action can be taken.

At the time of recruitment in the company the company signs a bond with an employee.

In that bond you will find the time of your notice period and the consequences for not serving the same.

As the company would need time for your replacement so that there work don't suffer if you leave the job they put this notice period clause.

If you want to leave a company try to give your resignation letter a month before or whatever your contract says about it so that you don't have
to face any problem in future
