Do we really need to serve the notice period before leaving the job?

I have noticed lot of time, in various company they tell us to serve for 30 days or 45 days before leaving the job and in some companies they tell us to quiit it from next day. They donít need us to serve any notice period or deduct our salary. Why is that so important to server our notice period? If we quit the job without notice period either they will deduct our salary or donít provide experience letter?

Dear friend you should no as a permanent employee of company we should serve notice before we leae the company.but in case of contract employee before leaving job they should give notice before 30 days and in case of permanent employee of company you are to serve notice 2 months ago.

Because to reappoint an employee it takes a lot of time as the authority to go through few mandatory rules and in case of contract employee it does not happen.

So for the shake of employee should give notice before leaving company otherwise as per company rules leaving employee can be penalized.

    Hi,

According to the company standards and rules followed by NASSCOM

It's a must to give a 30 or 45 days notice period before leaving the job

Failure to issue notice will lead to legal action against you

Also you will not get experience certificate and the pending arrears amount

So don't try to quit the job without prior notice

Also at the time of background verification you will be debarred from IT sector job for illegal entry

Dont take risk. Follow the standards , you will get standardised

    Thanks !!!

    HI,

Without giving notice period, you might face a lot of problems.

Atleast before 15 to 30 days of leaving job, give a notice.

Otherwise the problem is your Pf will not be released easily.

You might loose a lot of money, even some salry loss in some companies.

    Hope this is helpful!!!!
    Good Luck!!!

Re: Do we really need to serve the notice period before leaving the job?

    hi friend,

    >> It is very much important to serve the notice period because most of the companies do ask you to serve the notice period because if you leave the company at an instant then they would require another person in place of you to take up that position.

    >> Most of the big companies already take the newer persons in extra and stop their appointment letter, and ask them to wait until another position is vacant.

    >> Most of the small companies wouldn't hire the employees in such a manner because they are small companies and wouldn't take a bulk amount of employees.

    >> so small companies would ask you to serve the notice period till that time they would search for the new employee for that position.

    >> It would be good if you offer the notice period because if they want you they will make you serve for some 30 days if not they will ask you to leave,

    >> But if you quit the job without notice then they would definitely deduct your salary or they would definitely wont give you the experience letter that you have served for that company.

    >> Because most of the companies do mention the terms and conditions in the offer letter before joining the company.

Please go by the company rules in order to get experience letter.

    thanking you.

When you join a company you are given the joining letter or appointment letter
They give you two copies of this letter- one you can keep and the pther you sign on all apges and return it back to HR team of that company

In that joining letter all the details about resignation and leaving the company or termination is mentioned
Each company asks for a min 30 days notice period to some even asking 3 months notice period

It is important to servce the notice period other wise company will not give you the experience certificates
or else you have to apy up for the days you are not serving the notice period

So it is advisable to servce notice periiod and go on good note.

When you wish to go away your job. Before that you just ought to offer the notice to the corporate manager its obligatory. Otherwise you will not get the relieving letter or expertise letter from the corporate. once the corporate can provide you with the relieving letter until that you just can get the earnings. earnings they will not deduct. however you will not ready to take the expertise letter swiftly...

You should no as a permanent worker of company we must always serve notice before we tend to leave the corporate. however just in case} of contract worker before feat job they ought to offer notice before thirty days and in case of permanent worker of company you're to serve notice a pair of months past.

as a result of to reappoint associate worker it takes plenty of your time because the authority to travel through few obligatory rules and just in case of contract worker it doesn't happen.

thus for the shake of worker ought to offer notice before feat company otherwise as per company rules feat worker is punished.

When you be part of an organization you're given the connexion letter or appointment letter
they offer you 2 copies of this letter- one you'll be able to keep and also the pother you sign in all ages and come back it back to unit of time team of that company

in this connexion letter all the main points regarding resignation and feat the corporate or termination is mentioned
every company asks for a min thirty days notice amount to some even asking three months notice amount

it's vital to service the notice amount different wise company won't provide you with the expertise certificates
alternatively you've got to pay for the times you're not serving the notice amount

thus it's sensible to service notice amount and maintain smart note.
You ne'er understand that you just could ought to return to identical company when some years

    Hello

Yes you have to give your resignation letter before 15 days to your company so that they can find a suitable replacement for you.

And if they ask you to leave the next day it fantastic else if they ask you to serve for 30 more days before you can leave then just serve that time out. Because they will still be having your experience certificate will must be the reason why you are working for.

To gain experience and to get a better job with better package is every it employees dream.

If they give you the letter and deduct your salary then i guess its fine with me.

Just see what your company rules are and follow accordingly

    Thank you

Hi. It is certainly important that you serve a notice period according to the rules of your company before leaving your job and most of the companies follow this rule.

It is important because then the company has to employee someone in your place and that recruitment takes a certain amount of time. If you leave immediately then your post will be empty for a few days and that will affect the company's work.

If you dont serve the notice period you will certainly not get your experience letter and also maybe asked to pay a fine as compensation.

    Best of luck. Thanks

    Hello friend,
Notice period is important, and you need to follow that procedure.
due to following reasons they need you to serve the notice period
1-they need to get a new resource in place of you to handle your work
2- they need to give him KT(Knowledge Transfer).
3-you need to take clearance from all department
4-you need to return all assets (like company laptops,headphone...etc)
all these thing need few days to complete mostly the new resource Assignment and KT take a lots of time thats why they keep a long notice period.the companies which say quit from the very next day, that means they have surplus candidates on bench and waiting for project.so there you can leave the other day after resignation.

To get back the net provident fund that has been deducted from your salary every month , you need to follow all formalities before leaving your job.
Notice period is one of the formality to follow .

Before leaving the company, many companies ask their employees to serve the notice period and many are exempted, it means that it totally depends upon the companies policy. The reason for asking to serve the notice period, is that whenever any employees leaves, the company does not have any backup to take your employee, so that in case you are asked to serve notice period it means that in mean time company will appoint new employee in your place. So that work doesn't get blocked. If company has asked you to serve the notice period, then it's necessary that you must do the same, otherwise the relieving letter and experience letter willl not be provided.

Yes. Each and every employee will have to serve the agreed notice period.

    otherwise he will not get

    pay slips
    relieving letter
and other valuable things from the company.

In addition, it does not look professional.

So, its good to serve the notice period.

One more benefit for the employee in the notice period is,

much work will not be given to the employees in the notice period.
