    Do we need to serve the notice period during the time of probation?

    I am working on probation period in this company from past 3 months. During this period I tried for better opportunity and I got it. I want to know whether I have serve the notice period during the time of probation. Can I leave the organization without the informing the previous organization?

    See if in your appointment letter it is mentioned that you have to serve the notice period than yes you can serve the notice period.
    SO you should serve the notice period

    Normally notice period is of lesser period for employees who are in probation or training.


    Yes you can leave this organisation without serving the notice period but than in that case you will not be able to show the experience of this company to the next company
    If the other company has given you time to Join than serve the notice period in this company.

    Hi. I think this depends on the rules and policies of your company. So you get the details of these rules from your company or they will surely be mentioned in your contract.

    Generally every employee has to serve the notice period before leaving the company whether they are in probation period or not in order to get experience letter.There may be some variation in time duration for serving the notice period for probationary employees as compared to others. So if you go to the other company without informing this one you will not get your experience letter.

    Hi,

    Yes, once you joined the company you will be treated as an employee for the company. The joining letter which you would have got, had one clause about the notice period clearly. In that it would have clearly mentioned about the notice period during probation period and after probation period. So whatever the period has mentioned, you have to serve that period if you want to give the proper resignation and need an experience letter as well. But if you do not want the experience letter then you leave without serving any notice period, but you will get blacklisted for that particular company forever. In future you will not be able to apply in it.
    I would like to suggest you that you should serve the notice period before joining another company. Notice period in most of the companies is very less in probation period like 1 month or some days only.

    Hi aspirant..i think you certainly have to serve the notice period before leaving the company whether you are in probation period or not..Because when an employee leaves the company, the company has to again appoint someone in his place..Thus it is mandatory that you serve the notice period so that in the meantime the company can look for another suitable candidate..

    For better clarity regarding this consult your manager or check your company's policies..Also check whether you have signed some bond or not..

    Dont break any riules and follow the proper procedure for leaving the company..
