Do we have to spend notice period in company if we are terminated?

I got terminated from the company day before but I am quite not sure whether I need to spend the notice period legally. Can you please tell me about this? Is there any notice period for job termination too? Can you please tell me the full details about this? Thank you.

hello dearif you were working in same company past two or threes years then you should spend notice time before termination.any company has no rights to terminate any employee without giving notice or informing him/her.you should talk to company for reason that 'why did you terminate'if any positive results come out then very lucky if not then you have a right to go labour court if you are interested in same company.but it will not worthy so try to search another joball the best

    Hi friend

I think you should talk to your manger or HR regarding this because if your company required you to serve the notice period before leaving then they would have warned you earliewr regarding this..But in most companies you need to serve the notice period whether you resign or are terminated..Ask your HR for proper details and tell him that they should have warned you earlier regarding this..

I am sure your HR will help you out in this matter and will tell you exactly what procedure to follow before leaving your job..You dont worry because you certainly are not to be blamed for this..

    Good luck friend

Hi friend. If you got terminated from the company due to some mistake of your own immediately without any prior notice then i think you may not be required to serve the notice period. If your company has given you prior notice and has told you to serve the notice period before leaving then you must certainly complete your notice period before leaving the company otherwise you will not be able to get your experience certificate. As you know that your experience letter is a highly valuable document for you and is a proof of your working in the company and being its employee for a certified period of time. Thus whenever you resign or are terminated you must certainly get your experience certificate otherwise you will find it very hard finding a new job as they will surely ask you to show your experience certificate of your previous company and if you cant produce it you may lose the chance of getting the job.

So your first step should be to clear this doubt of yours regarding the notice period. You should go to your HR and ask him whether you will have to serve the notice period or not and what procedure should you follow to get your experience letter. I am sure he will clear your doubts and help you out. Actually these type of things vary from company to company and you must certrainly contact your HR if you want to be sure about what you are doing.

    Good luck and Thanks
