    Do they consider the day of applying the resignation or is it counted from the day the resignation is accepted?

    I had applied the resignation on 9th Oct and it was accepted on 11th Oct. I have to serve 3 months’ notice period. Now I want to know which will be my last day of resignation. 9th Jan or 11th Jan. Do they consider the day of applying the resignation or is it counted from the day the resignation accepted?

    A person is said to be resigned from the date on which he gives the resignation letter and the condition is that the resignation should be proper. In your case since the company has accepted your resignation letter it has to be assumed that you have submitted the application properly. Hence your last day of resignation is 9th October.

    After 3 months from the date starting from 9th October. After 3 months you are liable for Full and final settlement from your company.

    Dear..

    Your resume was accepted on whatever date does not matter, the thing is that you have submitted the resignation on 9th that date would be considered as your last day. Now in you case you have to count your three months from 9th of October.

    One more thing that i want to tell you is that a 2 days gap does not matter at all, if they tell you to work for 2 more days then its better to work for two more days.

    Hi.. I do think that the day when you gave your resignation i.e. 9th Oct will be counted from where you have to start serving your notice period..

    And these policies may vary from company to company so its better if you check with your company officials about the company's policy regarding this..
