    Do National holidays and weekends count in maternity leave?

    I want to take maternity leave but the confusion is does it include National Holidays and weekends? I work with a software development firm, so it depends upon the rules of company or company have to follow Government rules for that?

    NO,maternity leave do not include national holidays and weekends.


    Working in software development firms does not matter any thing,company also follows government rules.

    Yes during the time of enjoying maternity leave all holidays' are to be counted within the maternity leave.

    It is clear during the period if any national holiday ,week end holiday exists that leaves can not be available later.Eg such

    can not be added as due leave.

    The company will give you a minimum of 80 days for Maternity leave $_$

    Hello,
    1)First i want to tell you that the government(federal government) in India gave maternity leave of three months for working women with full pay.
    2)The company also follows the same rule as government rule.
    3)They give the three month maternity leave which includes both national holidays and weekends along with the non holidays.

    It depend on the policy of your company that in maternity leave they count national holiday or not.
    but by the rule of government in maternity leave the national or weekly holiday is count, if your company follow the of government then the national/weekly holiday is counted.

    You have working in software development firm and they are follow the rule of government.

    Hi guest, The maternity leave for both the government and private may be different in terms of days and rules. So generally all kind of holidays like national holiday, sunday arriving in between the maternity leave are included in it. Even the government applies the same rule for their employees in respect to maternity leave. You must contact the Human resource department of your company in order to confirm and know the rules of maternity leave and their applicability. Thanx

    Leave policies varies for each company

    Generally maternity leaves can be availed for some days without loss of pay

    After that it will count for leave with loss of pay

    At the maximum , 90 days of leave is granted in IT sectors

    90 days of leave includes mandatory holidays and weekend holidays

    Contact your HR and ask for maternity leave details explanations

    Ask for suggestions to take leaves with less number of leave with LOP

    HI,

    No maternity leave does not include
    National Holidays and weekends.

    But before that , go through the holiday list.

    Go through rules and regulations as well.

    Terms and conditions varies from company to company.

    So better check out , then apply for leave.

    DEAR ASPIRANTS ,

    Maternity leave does not mantion holiday list maternity is a only some days no

    loss no pay is a condition.Every company have some rules policy and sunday and

    saterday is holidays every company give emmployee for government and national

    and maternity holidays You confirm HR and you see company policy and read .
