Even if you are in appointed in the contract basis if there is a clause in the appointment letter for notice period then you should give one month notice. There is no rule that in all the cases there should be a notice period. It depence upon the policy of that company. IF there is a notice period the one month notice period starts one month from the date of giving resignation. Since you have given registration letter on 15 th of this month then your notice period will be over on 15th of next month. It has nothing to do with first day of a month.

Hi... First of all you go the rules and regulations of your company.. Such rules and policies are not standard and they vary from company to company.. So first of all you should be thorogh with the rules and regulations of your company..

Whatever the notice period is mentioned under your company policy you have to serve that whether it is one month or more.. It doesnt matter whether you are on contract basis.. You have to follow the proper rules and regulations..

There are some companies which even dont require you to serve the notice period... So do check that..

From when your notice period will start after giving resignation that will also be mentioned in the brochure..

    Best of luck.. Thanks

    Hi friend,

Go through the company terms and policies for serving the notice period.

As you are on contract basis you need not serve the notice period in most of the companies, as you are not a permanent employee of that company.

But look into company policy so that you can get clarification.

The notice period would start when your HR manager accepts your resignation letter.

From that day your notice period would come in to existence.

Hope i have helped you in getting relevant information

    Thanking you...

    Dear Aspirant,

You must be aware that the notice period is given in advance. It depends upon the terms & conditions of the appointment letter. If it is mentioned in your appointment letter to give one month notice to the employer before goving your resignation, then you have to submit it otherwise not.

To my mind, there is no need to give you the notice of one month because the purpose of the notice period is to settle all the financial accounts of the permanent employee.Since you are on the contract basis,I don't think there is any deduction of provident fund from your pay. Also you are not entitled for any benifits other than your fixed monthly pay.

Since you have no any acounts to be settled by the office after your resignation, you may not need to give the notice period. If at all you are required to do so as per the appointment order,do it in one month advance.

    Thanks.
