Discrimination in national holidays is there if a specific religion person is not working

There are no Muslim staffs in our organisation. So if there is a national holiday like ramzan or others no holiday is provided or granted. Is this correct to do or we should take any steps against this. Are any strict rules and regulations so that we can fight for this?

You have not mentioned about the sector where you work.If you work in any sector which belongs to the emergency service section then you wont get any holiday even if it is declared as a national holiday. The fact that you dont get the scope to enjoy holidays, this is common everywhere. So dont worry about it.If any new Muslim employee joins your office then you will be given those holidays.

    hello,
well as you have not mentioned the sector where you work, if it is emergency sector then no holiday would be provided. if it is not emergency sector then yes you have a right to talk about this to management. as India is secular country, you have right to ask of these issues. being mentioned as a holiday in government calender you can get the holiday. goodluck

Dear friend here you are wrong you are working in a pvt firm the leave list is prepared by the employer himself/herself and he/she know's in his/her company there is no employee belong to Muslim community and leave rule must not comply with Govt. rules so during the time of Ramzan there is no leave issued, basically all employee belong to other than muslim religion so there is no need to sanction leave because nobody will enjoy ramzan occasion. The employee should see whether the any employee belong to muslim category but there is leave availability for her/him.
Then you all can fight for this ie-regularity and inspire him/her to do complain against the employer to the appropriate authority.India is a secular country here Central Govt or State Govt can not ignore Muslim the Govt. to allow leave as per Govt rules.PVT company is not in a position to follow all leave rules as per GOVT.Here the employer is the supreme to conduct leave rules. So under this situation you can not clain as a whole that you did not enjoy national holiday and it is against the constitution.

    Thank you,
