Difference in Resume format of Marketing professional and an Engineer?

I am a B.Tech fresher and want to apply for a job. I copied the resume format of my friend who is an MBA and working on a Marketing format. Should the format for both professions different or it can be same?

The format won't create much problem, but the emphasis of your resume must be such that it shows more of the technical
and practical knowledge concerned with your field .You will need slight modifications like
you must have to give preference that show your knowledge and engineering skills and aptitude by giving brief descriptions of
projects and idea behind the projects you handled during your degree course in your resume .

hello aspirantthere is no such rule to make a resume in formats like word, excel, notpaid base.dear a candidate should concentrate on his/her relative fields.if a marketing professional should be mind these things at making a resumemarketing skillseducationals detailsexperience etc.a b.tech or m.tech candidate must be attend his/her technicals skills at resume.any exeperience like summer training, part time or other working skills have a good light on cv.all the best

    Dear Friend

There is no prescribed format for writing the resume..so there is no harm if you have copied from your friend

The main point is that you should highlight your qualities in that related to your field..

The resume should be a EYE-Catching and a easily Readable format..

    So be simple and short..

Only write what you know and what you have done dont add some superficial details in the resume ..as it can be a problem in the interview if you are asked about it..

    BEST OF LUCK

    Hi buddy,

Since you are a fresher the format wouldn't matter much as there are very limited number of points that needs to be covered in your resume.
Please take care to mention the following points in order to create a better impression on the reviewer.

    a) Your educational qualification (mentioning the college from where graduation has been done)
    b) Your interests in technical domain
    c) Your project details
    d) Any part time job experience taken as an intern/summer training

    Hope this helps
