Deductions of PF and ESI on off roll basis

Why are the deductions in the name of PF and ESI are made when a employee is working on off roll basis? Please mention me some rules regarding above if you any one is working in a private dealership of any concern.

Re: Deductions of PF and ESI on off roll basis

    Hi

    on roll:

the empolyee which got salary slip, bonus ,facilities kind of things called on roll

    off roll:

the employer manege some people for incresing man power on contract base.

And gives salry through the contractor. called off roll.

the contractor has duty to deduct the PF &ESI from their salary.

for ESI the deduction is done when the person have 10000/- salary gross.

for PF when the person have a salary upto 6500/-
