Your salary hike can have an effect due to market situation, but ultimately the hike in your
salary depends upon the companies profit in the current financial year,it is not necessary that
if there is recession in the market your company is going in a loss or less profit situation.
These things depends on how strong your company is in the market.
The simple rule is that if your company is a reputed company and you are an important member as a professional in the company and achieving your
goals in time you will definitely be benefited in near future in terms of salary and promotion.

    it really depends on :
1.the company annual report which states company profits...
    2.your performance,performance appraisal.
3.projects taken up by the company.
    4.revenue and results of company..

Salary hike for any employee in any company depends upon the several factors, where market performance is also one of it. Recession period haven't been completely removed, it's still there which is affecting the growth of any company. The companies profit, number of new projects and your's performance plays also an crucial role to have an salary hike. So you must only concentrate on work and let the management to take decision in this regard whenever considered it. And you can also go for the new job. Whenever you get a new job having more salary then the current job, you can switch over to that company.
