Company terminated entire team without prior intimation

The Company I was working terminated the entire team by just informing them on that day saying their accounts are cleared and they are terminated. I think that this is unfair. When employers ask 15-30 daysí notice from their employees before they are leaving, don't employees also need the same right? They also should be intimated earlier so that they can look out for another job. Sometimes there may be cases when people are very dependent on their job.

    Dear..

Its totally wrong to even terminate a employee without prior intimation and in your case the whole team faced the problem. It is totally unfair. There are few things that you can do now. First of all you should talk to the HR of your company and ask him the reason of termination and about the notice period too. If it does not help you can talk to the senior Manager of your company and still you stuck then the only thing you can do is to take help from the trade union or employee union. They can really help you in this, Its you who has to take the action otherwise you will not get the benefit of the notice period.

    Hope it will help

    Cheers...!!!

Yea its unfair and sad to hear it, the company should have maintained transparency in such a verdict. However we cannot blame the company solely, maybe they have the right to do so. Every company has different norms and their actions are different so i suggest you to in through the company's terms and condition/norms once again, maybe it is mentioned on the terms and condition that the company posses the right to terminate the service of an employee without prior information when the employee is found faulty and maybe you have already agreed with these terms and conditions while joining the company. If that is the case nothing can be done against it. If you find that no such authority of the company is mentioned then you can demand for the reason of terminating and sue the company for failing to maintain transparency. So know about the terms and condition/norms of the company before taking any further steps.

A company cannot terminate the employee just by saying in a pleasant morning you are terminated. Before terminating a company has to follow some rule and regulation. When an employer is going to terminate their employees at least one months notice has to be given or they have to pay 1 months salary has advance. If your company has fulfilled such condition then your company has a right to terminate you at any time. After termination the company has to pay all the amount regard to full and final settlement.

Really it is very sad to know the situations. But the company may terminate its employees any time without giving prior notice to them during probation period. You have to see that whether you were in probation period. If not,the company should have given one month notice. If all of you are a permanant employee, you may move to civil court for the injustice done against you.If the company has bind up its business & no longer it will run, then it will be mere waste of time & energy to think over the issue. In this case it will be better to search for another job.

If the company is still running, you may move to court for justice.
