    Is the company rules same for full time employees and part time employees?

    We have some of the employees who come for part time job. Salary is paid on the basis of hours of work. I am new to this company. And also this is my first job. We also have employees who work for full time. Is the company rules same for full time and part time employees?

    Hi Aspirant,
    Company rule & regulation is always same for all employees either Part time or Full time employee.
    But Company rule & regulation of Timing is totally different for both Full time employee or Part
    Time employee candidates.
    But Rule is Rule. Company does not provide any wrong term for both Candidates.
    If you are fresher , then you should that to prepare yourself according to company rules & regulation.

    Hi friend,

    The company rules are not same for the part time employees as for the full time employees.

    The following are the differences between the part time employees and full time employees:-

    1. STATED WORKING HOURS:-

    The part time employees work for less than 40 hours a week. whereas the permanent employee works for 8 hours a day.

    2. BENEFITS:-

    Employers do not offer part-employees fringe benefits, including health insurance and retirement plans.

    The only exception is that the part-time employees who work 1,000 hours for a company is offered employees pension plans.

    3. TERMINATION:-

    Part-time employers are subject to the same company policies and procedures as all the other employees in case of termination.

    4. PAY ROLL DEDUCTIONS:-

    Part-time employees are subject to the state and federal tax deductions from payroll checks.

    5. HEALTH BENEFITS:-

    Some companies provide their part-time employees the health benefits too.

    So, my dear friend some of the benefits differ for the part-time and the full time employees as per company terms and policies.


    Many of the benefits are not available for the part-time employees such as:-

    1. HRA.

    2. DA.

    3. MEDICAL ALLOWANCES.

    4. HEALTH PLANS.

    5. PENSION.

    6. RETIREMENT PLANS.

    7. EARNED LEAVES.

    8. PAID LEAVES.

    9. MATERNITY LEAVES.

    10. PATERNITY LEAVES.

    From all these you can come to a conclusion that the company policies differ for part-time and full time employees in an organization.

    Hi Friend,
    Generally company policy and processes will be same for both Full time and Part time employees.
    But there will be difference in Compensation and benefits. Part time employees will not have benefits like HRA/LTA,Medical Claim,Medical Insurance,PF,annual leave etc
    which a Full Time or permanent employee enjoys.

    Compensation also will differ as part time employees will be paid on hour basis. They will be paid only for working hours and not for weekends,holidays or the hours in weekdays that they have not worked for.

    Some of the rules of the company may differs for part time employees and some rules equally applies to both part time and full time employees. The working hours of the part time employees are generally shorter than that of full time employees. Their will be no promotion or salary hike applied for part time employees as they are working to complete the specific task, once the task is completed they will leave the company. Part time employees are not eligible for certain benefits and allowance like house rent allowance, medical insurance, Annual leave bonus etc. But some rules like dress code, discipline, punctuality applies both kind of employees.

    Hi I think the company rules are the same for all the employees whether part time or full time. All have to main the same sense of decorum and complete their work in time.

    Of course the timings are different as well several benefits which are given to the full time employees may not be given to the part time ones depending on the rules like higher salary, more chances of promotion, more benefits and bonuses, Allowances and pension benefits may vary.

    The company policies are same for all the the employees but rules can be different depending on your work and and for your working hours, in term of marking your present absent, your break tracker time and in many other ways. I recommend you to please be sure and aware about all such rules for you type of work, else it will create a big problem at the time of your payment. For this, you can contact you boss or any senior management in the company to provide you with complete and accurate information about the same.

    The company's rule for full time employees and part time employees is not same.

    There is a lot of difference in terms of:-

    1.Salary.

    2.Medical Benefits.

    3.Dearness Allowance.

    4.Medical Benefits.

    5.Pension.

    6.Retirement Benefits.

    7.Salary hike,etc.

    The full time employees get much more benefits than part time employees.

    no company rules for full time and part time employees are totally different.. company full time employees have perfect job rules performance appraisal and performance benefits and they are liable for bonus ,medical amenities.. part time employees are confined for little job work...

    Hello friend,

    The Full time Employee works for 8-9 Hours a day.Where as a Part time employee works 4-5 Hours a day The company rules are same in case of nature of work,environment and rules and regulations that are to be followed by employees.Where as the part time employees only get their salary they wont get H.R.A,D.A and other company benefits like medical claim and etc.


    I would like to share you a brief classification

    FULL-TIME PART-TIME
    H.R.A yes -
    D.A yes -
    Annual Leaves yes -
    medical claim yes -
    other benefits yes -
    Working hours 8-9 4-5
    Rules and regulations same same


    These above are the classifications of employees of part time and full time of a company.

    Part Time Employee And Full Time Employee Have Same Term And Condition Of The Rules From The Company But Some Differences Are :

    >> Part Time Work : They Provided 2 to 5 Hours In Day And Payment Given By The Basic Of Working Hours And No Leave Calculated......

    >> Full Time Work : They Give The 8 Hour Or More Per Day And Payment Made Basic Of Monthly And Leave Calculated And No Money Cutting From The Salary.......

    dear aspirant the rules for full time employees and part time employees is not the same.

    1.full time employees get benefit in all respect which a parttime can not get. For example/increament/leave/pf/gratuity/pension/etc.

    2.when a full time employee want to change his concern for better position toward other concern then concern employee must serve notice 2 or 3 months ago.

    3.a part time employee need not to serve notice properly before leaving the concern.
