    Company is not taking precaution regarding the health of the employees

    We are working in the instrumentation department of a factory. We have many times complained to the authorities for the improper cooling environment due to which we are facing health problems. Being many time requested to management no specific steps have been taken. Please suggest some legal provisions for safety of employees in terms of infrastructure facilities.

    Hello,

    Ensuring proper environment to the employees is a must on part of the Company. If workers are not given proper environment, then it is not possible for them to work to the fullest. This will reduce work productivity, and ultimately it will hamper the production level of the company. If management is reluctant to take any action, then workers have to seek some other measures so their request is heard and necessary action is taken on that regard. Request the company to fulfil the demands, and give them some to see if any action is taken or not. If still they don't respond, then all of you stop the work process and go on a strike. When workers will go strike, it will create pressure on the management and they will take immediate measures so that the work process starts again.

    You have to send a written complain against company to " Ministry of Labour and employment " because it is the body which govern the health and other issues for labour in India.If you can then try to solve at company level because your complain will bring a lot of losses to your company and it attracts other organizations to work on your company's weak points.

    Dear Aspirant,

    Yes,It is your good demand.The working environment must be good to with with the full enthusiasm.Of course,you can go for legal steps,if it is compulsory to provide the wanted facility.The question may arise as to how the previous employees worked there without the asked facility.

    You should place your demand jointly with all related employees,expressing the difficulties & benefits of providing cooling system.You should provide the details of expenditure to be incurred in it & expected profits to be gained after providing the wanted benefits so that the management could understand the proposal easily.The management of the organisation wants to run it in profit.So it is necessary to do so.

    Hope your demand will be fulfilled.

    Friend according to your statement you are serving in a instrumentation department of a Factory.You have complained many times to the authority for the improper cooling environment due to which we are facing health problems.Being many time requested management no specific steps have been taken for the health improvement of the concerned factory workers. You like to take legal action against factory owner for this purpose.

    First of all you are to check that your demand is relevent about the problem you are facing.

    1.If there is no cooling system then you suffer from what diseases, you are to mention specifically.

    2.Whether environment is changeable after implementing colling system within the factory.

    3.Cost of cooling system can bear easily, you are also to confirm.

    4.Doctors(GOVT) certificate for ill health have to submit.

    5.If it is found such instrumentation factory can not be started without cooling system, by law, then you can

    go to take legal action against the factory owner.

    Dear Aspirant,

    Yes,it is required to have good working environment in the work place in order to give the maximum out put of the employees.Whether it is compulsory or not,it depends upon the report of the inspecting authority,because some persons might have been working there before you.So demand your requirement along with others so that the management may consider it necessary.

    When the management is not taking care of your demand,you should try convince him by showing its benefit to the manger HR,because if the management thinks it to be beneficial for the organisation,it will be provided immediately.

    So try to prove it to be beneficial.

    hello friend
    it is a very serious problem because after all it is the matter of your health and also your co employee also my suggestion is to you that what you have to do is that file a complaint application against those who are not listen what you want to say and after give the signature of all the employees on the complaint and then send this application to your higher authority because i am definitely sure that they would be take a necessary step on your problem.

    If the company is not taking proper care of employees then you should complaint about it. If they are not listening then you all must unite and take action against it. You should not tolerate all these things and unite and act against it. if employees are united then they will have to do what you all want. So Unite and solve this problem. If they are doing anything then you can change your company.
