    Company made mistake and expenses borne by me

    I lost my office phone which has been in use. I informed everybody concerned towards this. But at the time of losing my phone my reporting head said that there will be no problem and no charges will be borne by me but no information to customer care been made and due to postpaid connection I was charged a sum of Rs 4500 as penalty. Is this kind of careless behaviour from higher management bearable?

    Dear guest,Now that the company head has said that you don't have to bear any losses doesn't mean that it is so.. You need to go through the company policies. Besides looking at your complain I can say that there is a fault of the company as well and hence they should have talked to the customer care and resolved the issue.Hence I can say that you are not at fault but depending upon the company policy you may have to reimburse the cost of the handset. Regarding your complain you can approach the HR and log a complain with the accounts department.This shall solve your problem.Thank you...

    Dear Aspirant,

    These things happened in life & a wise man learns lesson with some mistake.As you know that the employees are the soft target of the employer to compensate any financial loss the reason whatever it may be.When your mobile was missing,you should have reported the matter to customer care to avoid such losses.But that time you might have been nervous & forgot the matter of reporting.

    Since you are an employee,you can not go on fighting with the management for each & every thing.Now this is one of the lesson not to believe on oral order of senior officer for office purpose.But it is also true that you can not get each & every thing in writing from your reporting officer.So you must be attentive & careful for dealing in life.

    Any how you can request by giving it in writing to your reporting boss & the officer who is your boss's boss.Write in details for the incidents & request to pay the amount to you.

    See the result.If it is in your favour,then it is alright otherwise condole yourself.

    Hi aspirant

    Certainly such kind of irresponsible and careless behaviour from your higher management is not tolerable at all. They should have been more careful in this regard and should have kept their employee's interests in mind.You should definitely not withstand such injustice and should not bear these charges. You should talk them regarding this matter and get the charges reimbursed.

    Tell them that when you lost your phone you informed everyone regarding that and then they told you that you won't have to bear any extra expenses.But as they didn't give any information to the customer care, you were charged Rs. 4500 as penalty. You hope that they will look into this matter and do justice with you by reimbursing you this amount. You hope that they will understand your position in this matter.

    I am sure they will be ashamed of their behaviour and will do you justice. Good luck and Thanks

    Besides looking at your complain I can say that there is a fault of the company as well and hence they should have talked to the customer care and resolved the issue.

    Dear this is absolutely not going good with you because when your were promised for no charge from your boss then you should not have charged with these rupees but finally your higher authorities shows carelessness and did not inform to the customer care about this situation and that is why you have been charged for 4500 INR so you should not pay this amount and go to the office of your boss and ask them about the complete situation and ask them that why you are being charged for this sum when you was told me that I would not be charged for any sum after loosing that mobile and this charge should be afforded by the company because this is not my mistake that no one informed to the customer and say clearly to your boss that you will not pay this amount to the company of the mobile
