Company is charging me for not handing over the material

I worked in a software company. The company has provided me the laptop & projector. I have resigned from my job before a month & I handed over the laptop & projector to my senior. But now I got the notice from the company that I have not returned the material. My senior is doubtful for me. What should I do?

Hi..I think if you are in the right you should not worry because true people always win and get the reward..Those who are in the wrong should feel guilty and should worry..Firstly you should remain calm and dont take any tension..

You should go to your company's office and directly talk to your HR regarding this and tell him that you handed over the laptop and projector to your senior after resigning and now he is putting the blame on you..Try to give them evidence if possible ..Tell them to look into this matter and then they will find that you are certainly innocent and your senior is to be blamed for the loss..

I hope they conduct an inquiry into this matter and you come out trumps..Hopefully you will get justice otherwise you file a complaint against them...

    Good luck..Thanks

    Hi friend

If you have returned the laptop and projector to your senior, then its certainly not your fault and you should see to it that you dont get punished for the same..I am sure that when you returned your things to your senior then certainly your senior would have made an entry of it in the records..So firstly go and check the records and if your name is mentioned there along with the return date then you are in the clear..

But if there is no such record then you should prove it somehow that you have returned the laptop and projector..Ask your senior that you have returned the things and he should tell the management the same ..I am sure he will agree and tell the truth to the manager..If he doesnt you tell the management what exactly happened and i hope they listen to you..

    Good luck
