    Colleagues uses personal guests at office expense

    One of the colleagues uses my office guest rooms for accommodating his personal guests. At times, he takes the personal guests out of lunch at company’s expense. It is getting me my boss’s ire. I have requested the colleague not to do so but nothing helped. Please suggest a way out.

    Your colleague should definitely understand his responsibilities and thus not behave in such a manner with you. He should not that he is not allowed to break the rules and regulations of his company in this manner otherwise he will be punished for the same. He should be mature enough to know all this and not behave like a child. You should definitely forbid him strictly from continuing with such behaviour otherwise you may get in trouble with your boss due to his fault.

    Talk to your colleague and tell him that he should stop using your office guest rooms for accomodating his guests and taking them out for lunch at the company's expenses. The boss is already getting wary of this and if he comes to know about it then both you and him will get into trouble.So he should immediately stop such behaviour otherwise you would be forced to report to your boss so that atleast you don't get into trouble later on for allowing him to use your guest room.

    I am sure your colleague will understand you and will never do such a thing again. But if he is still adamant then you should definitely report it to your boss. Good luck

    Hi,

    Your colleague should not act so unprofessional. He must understand that such activities of bringing guest are not allowed in office.

    You must not suffer on his mistake. You must immediately report it to your boss or manager. He will surely teach him a lesson. First give him a last warning about it and then if he continues bringing the guest, then report it to your boss.

    Tell your boss complete detail and also that he is not following your orders.

    Also talk to that colleague personally that it is wrong. He should have some self respect. He cannot take his guest on lunch on company's expense and also accommodate them in company's guest room.

    He will realize his mistake.
