Colleague sneaks into cabin to check out work details

A colleague in my office has a bad habit of sneaking into my cabin during lunch hours. I have caught her this time and wants her to get a lesson. Should I address the matter to my boss or HR manager? Please share a solution.

    Hello..

What he is getting of doing that? Okay , I'm telling you some points follow them.

    1. Directly going to HR will not be good, as you are working in same place , may be in future you need his help.
    2. Go and tell him what he was trying to find, if he has problem , talk on it.
    3. Always try to maintain relationship, but he is out of limit you should give him a warning.
    4. After warning, if he is not listening to you, then you can complain to your HR.

    have a good time.
    thanks.

As she is repeatedly performing the act than it is a serious issue.

As now she has been caught she might be more careful in performing the act again, so that it would be much difficult for you to catch her again.

So it is necessary that you take some action so that she doesn't repeat it again or you don't get into trouble.

First of all try to find the reason behind the act, this will make much easier for you to take any action.

As it is possible that there might be some reason/ problem of her.

If you don't find any genuine reason than you first talk to your HR, he will take actions accordingly.

Don't try to get involved in taking action by yourself, leave it to your HR as it is his responsibility to take care of such situations.

    Hello,

First you talk to her and tell her to stop doing this "routine checking activity".
If she does not listen to you then you have no option but to tell your boss about
her unprofessional behaviour. You should not contatc HR department as it can
    lead to serious conseqiences.

    Bye,
