Can we take retired employee again to the organization on contract basis?

Last month one of our senior executive officer got retired from the organization on his age basis. He was a very good assets to the company. We are still in need of his service. Can we take him back again the organization on contract basis? If yes, what is the procedure?

YES, you can always take that person in your Company on a contract basis or as a consultant to your Company.

You need to discuss this with the HR HEAD of the company and PROCESS head of the company.
If they agree to this proposal, than you have to decide on his exact role and Payments that will be made to him
Once this has been done in consultation of HR head and Process Head of the company, than you can approach that person with the proposal and ask for his reply on the proposal.
If he aggrees to it just issue him an letter stating the terms and conditions of the contract.
Get a signed copy of that contract as an acceptance and keep it with you.
That person starts work as per the new role given to him.

    Hi,

As per the Govt and company norms , a employee has to be retired at age of 58 .

After retirement , its company decision to call for the same employee for work based on his work nature and excellence

Since the employee is highly valued , he can be called back again if he is interested to work

Compulsion for work is strictly restricted if done it will spoil company name only

Or else work from home facility can be given to the employee to contribute from home

    Thanks !!!!

    Hi,

Yes, definitely if the person is asset for the company’s growth then is no harm to take him back after his retirement. If he is mentally and physically fit, and capable to do and you can take him back again on contract basis. You can discuss the same with you company’s HR head, if they are in your favour and you can decide the monthly salary and Role for him.

I think before doing this you should ask the person that either he wanted to join back or not. If he agreed on the same then you can go with that and if all will be positive, prepare the contract letter and get it signed by him.
