Can a terminated employee get a resignation letter from the company?

I am terminated employee of the organization. This termination has happened because of recession and not because of any fraud or mistake done by me. I have got lots of performance award in this company. It’s almost 1 year and I have joined new company. Can I ask my relieving letter from the previous company from where I got terminated? Are terminated employees provided the experience letter?

There no law that a terminated employee is not entitled to experience certificate. It is according to the policy of the company.

But in your case it cannot be called a termination. Your job ended because of the fault of your company. Your company could not cope up with new circumstances and they have to terminate some employees. Since your termination has happened because of the recession hence you are very well entitled for experience letter.

You are also entitled to get a status of resigned employee.

You have to go and meet the HR of the company and request him to give you a relieving letter and an experience letter.

In my opinion they will surely give it. All the best.

    Dear..

Yes you can get a relieving letter or an experience letter from the company. There is no rule regarding this that a terminated employee can not get his certificate, You were terminated due to recession and that was not your mistake and they can not cost you this for your experience certificate.

You said that it was almost a year so its better to contact immediately to the HR of the company and tell them that your new company need your experience letter and you need that to smoothly do your present job, I am sure you gonna get your certificate but in case they deny then you can take help either from some employee union or from a professional lawyer.

You have to speak up for this as this letter will show your hard work that you have done during your tenure with that company.

    Hope it will help

    Cheers...!!!

Hi.. It is very sad that you got terminated due to recession and i completely sympathesize with you..

I dont think there is any law regarding this that terminated employees are not eligible for relieving letter..

So you can certainly speak to your company officials and they will certainly help you in what way they can.. Afterall you have been a good asset to them and won many performance awards.. Dont worry they will certainly help you and you will get your experience letter..

All these things vary from company to company.. Best of luck for your new job..

Have confidence.. You will surely succeed .. Thanks
