Can a student passed from Maharashtra board take up engineering course in Karnataka?

My friend has complete her 10th from Maharashtra board but 12th from Karnataka Board. He has given his CET exam and has got government. Can he get into engineering course in Karnataka based on his 12th exam. Or will they check the 10th Certificate. As he has completed his 10th over there and only +2 in Karnataka, will the rules different for him. What are the ways through which he can get government seat in this CET exam?

Hi. I dont think there is any problem. If your friend has done his +2 from Karnataka then he will be admitted directly into the goverment college on the basis of merit. If not then there is always some reservation for people from outside the state and your friend can contest for that Best of luck for your future

    Hi friend,

There is no restriction for studying in india or doing your graduation across india.

If you have got your 10th degree from maharastra and 12th from karnataka then you can definitely do your CET from any of the college in karnataka.

But the main think is you have to know whether CET is national wide test or state wide test.

If CET is a state wide test then you can without hesitation join the engineering course, but if its a state wide test then you have got no eligibility to take up the engineering course in that state.

So make it clear whether it is a state or national wide test.

The main problem lies whether its a state or national wide test.

So please look in to the details and the problem is solved.

    All the best.

    Thanking you....

    Dear Aspirant,
First of all congratulations to your friend for securing government college in the common Entrance Test(CET)of Karnataka. He can definitely take admission in government colleges on the conditions:
1.He had fulifilled the domicile criteria during form-fillup.
2.He produces the domicile certificate during admission.
3.His age is within the age limit as specified by the Karnataka Education Board of Technical Education.

There is no problem regarding his study in other state till tenth. If he can show his domicile certificate of Karnataka,he will definitely get admission.Incase,he does not have domicile,I am sorry to say that he will not get admission in government college. However,he will get admission in private colleges in such conditions.
    All The Best !

bell dearin india every one is free to do a course anywhere.it will not effect you that your highschool 's degree is outside from the state.if the entrance exam is nationwide then any candidate can get admission in anywhere in indiaor this test is bounded with state regulations even then it has some reservations for those candidates who having their merit high.so best of luck to take admission.
