Can I reject the job offer after getting the joining letter from the company?

I have applied for a job in a company. I have already received the joining letter and they have told me to joint after one month. They have signed a bound for 2 years? I am not sure whether I will be working there for 2 years. What if I get good opportunity from another company? Can I reject this job offer after getting joining letter from the company? Do I need to pay any compensation for this though I have not worked there?

As you have signed the bond with the company for 2 years you won't be able to leave the job unless this tenure

is completed .This policy is adopted by the company to control the practice of employees to leave the job as it

is very costly for the employers both in terms of money and time ,also the companies work is effected.

If you want to leave the job than you have to pay the compensations as per terms and conditions you have signed

    in the bond.

Yes dear, asker you can reject the joining letter if you are not willing to work on bond i,e on contract. If you are willing to work on different company on monthly basis then you search for other job in different company. You did not need to pay any compensation money for joining letter. Best of luck

    Hello,
if you have signed the bond and already forwarded to them for processing then you have to pay the specified amount before rejecting. You should talk to the company about their rules.. If they process all the documents after your joining, then you don't need to worry, you can reject it.. If they prepare the joining letter after processing your documents then you will face problem.. But don't worry.. Everything will be OK, you just talk to them thoroughly.

I will suggest you if the second company is far better then don't hesitate to reject the 1st one.

    Hello friend,

You can definitely reject the offer if you are not sure that you will be able to continue for two years. And You need not pay anything until you have started you services with the company. The company asks to sign the bond to ensure that the training it has imparted to the candidate brings revenue for the organization. Every organisation spends thousands to train and make you industry ready. So it expects to get the revenue from you. So, this bond is signed. So dont hesitate in rejecting the offer and go ahead only if you have certain plans to stay there.

    All the best.

No, after getting the joining letter you can't reject the offer letter. You had received the joining letter only because you have accepted their offer letter. Morever you had entered into an contract with the company for a period of two years by signing the bond. If you breach the bond, two things may happen-
    • First is you will be asked to pay the big amount stated in the bond or if you have already paid for the security, it will be forfeited.
    • Second is, It will ruin your job profile.
so it's better for you to complete the tenure and then move to other company.

Hi. I definitely think that you can reject the job offer if you havent started going to your job work. If you do feel that 2 years bond is too much binding then you can certainly quit the job before starting.

What you can do is conform the rules and policies for leaving the job from your company before taking a decision. Different companies have different rules for the same .

Today most of the companies engage their employees on bond basis so that the employees dont leave early leading to wastage of the company's resources but most of the contracts are for 1 year.So i think 2 yrs is too much.

If you are sure about yourself and can find a better job then surely reject this your. Your confidence is your strength.

    Best of luck. Thanks

    Hello

Giving a straight answer if you have already signed any bond with them for 2 years then yes you have to give some penalties. Like rs 50000 or something that will be written in the bond paper.

If you havent signed then its absolutely ok to leave that job if you dont like it. On the date of joining just dont go to join.

And yes if you are not prepared to work in that company for 2 years you should not join. Many opportunities will arise for you in the future and if you join you cant leave the company and this job offer will also perish.

    Thank you

    Hi friend,
You are allowed leave organization as you signed bond for two years. So organization expects two years of service from you at any cost.
Before signing the agreement you have to decide whether reject or join in the company. After signing don't think to leave organization. Still if you want to leave you have to pay compensation as per the terms and conditions of the bond.

    All the best !!

    Hello

If you have got a job in a company and have recieved the joining letter then you can reject the job offer .

you can do this if you havnt signed a bond with the company.

but once you have signed the bond then you cannot reject or quit the job.

else for that you have to pay a heavy amount as compensation

    Hi,

Your absolutely right !!! Don't wait for the company to provide joining date . Till that you can keep trying for another company if its better than this company and job security is there . you can surely switch to that company .

But all companies makes a bond agreement with the employees

If your getting high salary and good work opportunity then you can go ahead with that option

There is no problem in receiving the offer letter only when you sign the bond you are not free to leave the company before the bond is over

If you break the bond you will have to pay the penalty as said in the bond

So plan well on this and proceed

    Thanks !!!!

Re: Can I reject the job offer after getting the joining letter from the company?

    Hi,

This is a dilemma faced by many freshers.

You can decide on not joining the company at any point of time before joining the company.
It really doesn't matter if you have signed the bond or not, since you are not an employee of the company at present.

No financial compensation is needed from your side at this point of time.
Also a point to note is, that there is some confusion regarding the financial compensation
that these companies can ask you citing some bond (Bonded labor being abolished in India).

As per as my knowledge goes, the worst that the company can do, in case you have already joined
the company, is to not provide you with proper experience and relieving letters.

One suggestion that I would make is that, please inform the HR about your decision of not joining,
so that they don't necessarily prepare for your joining formalities. This would also create a positive
impression on the company and may be they can re-negotiate your joining terms (giving you a hike etc).

Hope this is of some help to you.

Re: Can I reject the job offer after getting the joining letter from the company?

    Hello,

If you have signed the bond paper with the company then you have to serve the company for 2 years, If you want to leave the company then you have to give a certain amount as compensation.
In the mean time if you get any offer from other companies then you can leave the job .
if you havnt joined the company and not worked for that company yet and you reject the offer then also you have to pay the compensation.
so its better if you work for that company and gain some experience
this will give you even better opportunity for your career growth.

    Thank you

I positively suppose that you simply will reject the work provide if you havenít started attending to your work. If you are doing feel that two years bond is just too a lot of binding then you'll definitely quit the work before beginning.

What you'll do is make sure the principles and policies for exploit the work from your company before taking a call. completely different corporations have different rules for identical .

nowadays most of the businesses interact their staff on bond basis so the workers donít leave early resulting in wastage of the company's resources however most of the contracts square measure for one year. therefore i feel two yrs is just too a lot of.

If you're positive regarding yourself and may realize a higher job then sure enough reject this your. Your confidence is your strength.

if you have got already signed any bond with them for two years then affirmative you have got to relinquish some penalties. Like Rs 50000 or one thing that may be written within the bond.

If you havenít signed then its completely okay to leave that job if you donít find it irresistible. On the date of connexion simply donít move to be a part of.

And affirmative if you're not ready to figure therein company for two years you must not be a part of. several opportunities can arise for you within the future and if you be a part of you cant leave the corporate and this job provide will pass away.

Re: Can I reject the job offer after getting the joining letter from the company?

    Hello Friend,
Yeah you can reject the job after you get the joining letter, problem arises only if you sign the bond with the company at the day of induction ,then you are bound to serve the bond period.else there is no problem in leaving a company and join another one.
as you are confident you will get better job after trying then you better try for the same ,but the bond amount and period condition is there in almost all company this is for their security purpose ,because spending such a huge amount on any candidate to provide training and build up as a professional,no company will want to loose that candidate .and if you leave the company after training then they will bear all the loss so they have made such type of bond.
now the market condition is very volatile so better join any job and from there search any job and after that think of leaving else you will get frustrated down the line and will repent for not joining the previous job.
you can leave the company without serving the bond period if you get any good company, better pay the amount and leave else dont claim for experience certificate and leave the job they wont claim for bond amount.
    Thank you.

You can ignore the offer letter before joining the company not after that.
