Can I reject the appointment when the current employer promised to pay better?

I got the appointment date too for the new company where I get more pay than the present but now the problem is after I said I am going to leave the company the present employer is ready to pay more than the new offer. Now what should I do? Can I reject the new companies appointment now? How to do that? What steps to follow?

    Hi..

You can reject the appointment from the new company incase you did not sign any bond with the company at the time appointment. You can just send them a formal application saying that the due to some professional committments you cannot leave your current job. Please make sure that you do send an application informing as to why you are unable to join. It is less known fact that what companies despise more than candidates not joining is candidates not informing. So be cautious about that.

Incase you did sign a bond, then you are under legal obligation to joint the new company and serve them for the period for which the bond was signed. In that situation don't be disheartened, I am sure if you work hard in your new job, you'll get a better salary than your current one!

    All the best. Take care.

    Hi friend

You should certainly prefer your current company if they are ready to pay you more than your new employer..You already are comfortable with the work environment of your current company and so you wont need to worry about adjusting to a new work environment..If your current company is ready to pay you more, then it means they value your services and thus you have good oportunities of growth here..

So you must keep these things in mind and continue working here only..Just go to your new company's office and directly talk to the manager regarding your situation..Tell him you wont join this new job and continue working in your current company..Complete any formalities and thus get yourself relieved..

    Good luck friend

    Hello friend,
yeah you can reject the other companies offer but do it in polite way.as your current job providing you more salary then you should stick to the job,not only because of the salary hike but also this is the company you have worked for long.
you are acquainted with the work and employee and it will be more comfortable for you to continue your work here.apart from that as they are not letting you go that means you are a critical resource for them so in future they will keep your words if you demand for hike or promotion.
so its always better to continue with previous job and as the other company have not taken any bond signed by you they cant take any action ,just dont keep them in hope call the HR and tell him that you wont be able to join that company due to so and so reason.
    Thank You.
