    Can group interview be taken in recruitment process?

    There are many new techniques of interview taking are been introduced now a day like online interviews, telephonic interview etc .I was in a thought of taking group interview in which the competent level of candidates come out. Is this possible?

    Dear Aspirant,

    The process being adopted for recruitment of of the employees depends upon the policy of the company & it varies from company to company.Generally,first written test is conducted for the eligible candidates,then for success candidates in written test there may be group discussion & or interview.Some company conducts group discussion first & then personal interview.Some company after written test conducts only personal interview for the final selection of the candidates.

    So need not to be confused.Be prepared for the whatever test to be conducted by the recruiters.First be aware what steps to be followed for recruitment & then accordingly prepare for the same.It is clearly mentioned in the brochure of the company regarding the tests to be conducted for selection.You can also know it on contact with the manager HR of the company in case of in campus interview.

    dear friend

    yes this is only possible if the
    higher authorities dont have
    any problem with such a way.
    so firstly tell them your idea
    then take any further step.
    if they allow you then conduct
    such an interview, if not then use
    other ways which are allowed by
    the company.

    hello,
    group discussion will be present for some companies because of the strength they take.for example, if there are 20 persons and if there are only 10 vacancies they opt for group discussion.
    mostly 99% of companies conduct written test followed by GD and later if he qualifies he will be called for an interview.we cannot give full marks for a person if he is in a interview rather than in a group interview.so it may be better to conduct GD followed by personal interview.

    Hi friends..,

    I think it depends to the company and her policies.
    Many companies first conduct written test and eligible candidates participate in group discussion
    Then after conduct the interview
    You can don't confused many companies conduct interviews individuality only.
    Some of the companies conduct interviews group also but it depends to the company.

    Dear if you think that interview should be conducted through groups then this is not right because interview is made to find out the qualities and demerits of the candidate and if this will be taken in group then someone will be better in group but someone will get profit of the knowledge of good and efficient candidates and let me make it clear that - If you are going to face interview in a group and your group is of 5 members and interviewer will ask something from all of you and if you do not know the answer of that question and other one give the reply then not only he, you all people who have lack of knowledge will also be considered as eligible to get the job so this may not happen in any industry

    Group discussions are allowed because there is separate topic given to the candidates and they discuss on ti and it shows the leadership and management quality of the candidate that who comes first for answer but in interview, there are some personal details of the candidate can not be asked in group that is why to check the merits of aspirants, interviews are always taken separately for each candidate

    See every company has its own way of recruiting candidates so the process of interview depends on the company that is recruiting.

    Mostly instead of group interviews candidates are assessed individually as in group interview it is not possible to completely assess the candidate.

    Also it depends on the process of the interview as some times if such interviews are taken than there are also other criteria's and steps by which individuals

    knowledge can be assessed.

    This procedure can also be adopted when there are large number of candidates and they use it to short list candidates through this process for the personal

    interviews.

    So in any form you need to prepare well as by any means they will judge your individual performance.
