    Bosses behavior has changed after my MBA announcement

    I recently got selected in MBA from IIM Calcutta and have to join from the next semester. I have told my boss about this and he said that I should have told him before. Anyway there is still 3 months for me to go and the behavior of my boss has changed. Now every time some work comes up he says ‘why are you interested you are leaving anyway’. I am doing all my work honestly and on time but his behavior is pulling me down. What should I do?

    Hi friend

    I think that your boss should be a little more rational and should not behave with you in such a way. He should realise that until you were not sure of getting into a MBA college and your result wasn't out, you could not have informed him of anything. If he sees it from your point of view then he will definitely realise that you haven't done anything wrong and will not distance himself from you in this manner. Its better that you go and have a proper talk with him.

    Tell your boss that you have been noticing that his behaviour has completely changed towards you after your MBA announcement. You are really sorry if you have hurt him in any way and apologize to him for the same. You could not have told him about it earlier as you yourself were not sure of your admission. You hope that he will try to understand your situation and will behave in a friendly manner with you as before so that you leave this company with only good recollections. You ensure him that you will work as hard as before till you leave. You are really grateful for what this company has given you.

    I hope your boss's heart melts by this and then hopefully he will behave with you as he used to before. Good luck and thanks

    Dear friend,

    As a person who is going for management studies you should face even more severe situations like this.

    Think positively and use this opportunities to overcome pressure and stress from your boss.

    You could do that if you fearlessly do what is right.

    Don't quarrel with your boss or behave indifferent.

    Use all that you have to maintain peaceful atmosphere till 3 months when you leave.

    Wish you all the best.

    Hello,

    Just ignore your boss. Not many people gets the opportunity to pursue MBA from
    IIM-Calcutta. It's your life and career so you should decide what is best for you and
    not your boss. If such situation contines to arise at your work place I would suggest you
    to leave your job and prepare for the MBA syllabus in advance.

    Bye,

    Dear this is not going good with you but you should not think in deep about it and do not waste your time because this will definitely happen with you because you are going from the office that means your boss will have more work load and he will have to hire another candidate which is not so easy to find out the best but you should ignore the attitude of your boss and let them do whatever they want but you should try to make good behavior with them and try to make your boss satisfied with your work and performance because you are going to leave office that means you have to make your impression good in the office at last time so that your boss could remember you well for a long time that is why you should bear the attitude of your boss and concentrate on your work only and give good performance in the company

    All the best

    First of all congrats for your success.

    These things will happen because it has now come into his mind that you will be leaving soon so it nothing worth for him to invest his time on you.

    In cooperate world every thing is seen from the view of interest of the company, till you are working and working better for the company you will be appraised

    the moment you start declining in your performance they will not like it.

    So don't think of it much and start planning for your future, complete the work assigned to you as you were doing and just leave the company when the time

    comes with a positive experience in your mind.

    Over trying will cause unnecessary pressure on you.

    It's so nice that you are selected in IIM & having a great opportunity in future.
    now you are facing a problem related to your boss's behaviour.
    now if possible then you should have to tell your boss clearly about your career plan because you will leave this job surely at the time of your joining with IIM.
    if your boss don't like this & you also don't like his behaviour then you can also find other job upto your joining.
    now a time , you have to try to make happy your boss.

    Make your boss happy

    --> work with positive thinking
    --> Work honestly & seriously
    --> if possible , then take advise from him
    --> whenever your boss asked about extra work , always be prepare
    --> Don't talk at workplace
    --> communicate in plain job
